Everybody talks about conviction during bull markets. Very few understand what it actually means once the hype disappears.

Real conviction is holding through silence. Through boredom. Through red candles. Through the moments where it feels like nothing is happening and everyone around you starts chasing the next shiny narrative.

The reality is that most people are bad at trading. Most are also terrible at recognising long-term trends early. They chase green candles, panic during corrections, and constantly rotate into whatever CT is hyping that week.

Ironically, the best opportunities usually appear during periods of boredom and uncertainty. When nobody cares. When engagement disappears. When sentiment is negative and timelines are quiet.

That’s why slowly DCA’ing during fear, boredom, and red candles often outperforms emotional trading and narrative chasing over time.

Most people don’t fail because they picked the wrong project. They fail because they lack patience.

In crypto, patience is often the price you pay before opportunity arrives.

Paytience.

Given all of our growth I think it is important we come up with a mission statement that will guide this community, both inside Reddit and out in the real world, for the rest of 2026.

I can write it up but wanted to pick your brains and hear from others first.

I think it is important that part (all?) of it be goal oriented so we can track towards accomplishing it together and hold ourselves accountable. I think we should make sure part of it is fun as well that embraces who we are. Some things off the top of my head:

• Grow this Reddit to 1.5k members
• Get 50 new unique sign holders
• Get 200 unique sign holding pictures (can be the same sign holders - still unique though)
• Have 2 in person meet ups this year (start small - start somewhere)
• Revamp the website
• etc.

All of this is something we can build off of next year as well and increase our mission goals/change them as well.

The mission statement/goals I think need to stick to our ethos (everyone deserves financial security, even if they engineer it, and everyone deserves a community to support them along the way) as well as allow people to come to our community and participate even if they don't hold a token of AWR (this is super important to scale its growth - also provides future onramps to these individuals in the future for them to become a token holder).

But I’m still just perplexed by the holistic concept of AWR. I’m big into Bittensor ($TAO) because for years I looked at crypto and asked “yeah but what does it do?” And the answer was always “nothing”.

I get the community aspect you guys have and respect it, and we have a similar community and conviction on Bittensor.

I perused the forum here and see you guys do have Ai based ancillary projects and I think you would benefit from looking at what Tao is doing. Again, not shilling, I’m telling you to look at it because they are actually creating value and doing work instead of promising “coin go moon”.

Bitcoin was proof of work. Bittensor is proof of intelligence. I had an idea (not novel) about proof of creativity where people use Ai to make tv shows, movies etc that is its own streaming service or an adjunct to YouTube at least. Blah blah not what I’m here to discuss…

I don’t even really know the tokenomics of AWR, but you could always take your values and focus and turn it into some form of work and function. Even if it is Proof of community or something, there has to be a velvet rope for the creation/dilution of tokens, otherwise it is just the same theft as the government printing money.

Just some thoughts.

Growth in the Reddit community continues at an exciting pace for where we were ~6 weeks ago. People are making contributions to the Reddit community by moderating, welcoming new people, and having meaningful conversations. Others are pushing the message of AWR by creating content and holding signs. Additionally people are taking action and working to understand how they can help grow AWR and serve the community first in a selfless way.

This has me so hyped!!! Grateful for this family.

Some of the greatest utility for AWR is recognizing each other with it and showing gratitude. I just wanted to shout out some people that have been consistent in their efforts for growing AWR. I sent you a little token of appreciation. 😊
