First 3D printer - apparently no i/o out of the box
Hi guys
I bought a BNIB anycubic vyper off a local seller on eBay, who had bought it for a project at the start of the year, but never even unboxed it.
I brought it home yesterday and assembled it this morning, but I think it's faulty - just wanted to run things by this sub and see if there's anything I've obviously missed or am doing wrong
Assembly went great, followed all the instructions up until inserting the SD card and printing the test file. Screen works, self levelling works, bed and print head heat up fine. But the unit won't read the SD card, or apparently connect to a computer.
I've tried:
Power cycling (many times)
Cleaning the SD slot with air duster
3 different FAT32 formatted SD cards with the files copied to them (2 full size SD cards, and a micro SD with adapter, all 16GB or under). The factory SD reads fine in my PC.
I've tried connecting via USB to my Windows 11 laptop and to my wife's MacBook, downloading drivers for both. Neither computer recognises the printer when plugged in, and it is not visible in Ultimaker Cura on the windows PC
So - it's cooked, right? There's nothing simple or obvious I haven't done? Is there an easily accessible internal connector for the USB port/SD slot that might have come loose that I could reconnect?
The vendor's been really good and is happy to accept a return, but I can't raise a return case with eBay til tomorrow for some reason, so if there's anything else I might reasonably try before attempting to pack it all away again then I'm all ears
Thanks
