how to care for dahlia’s going into winter

Hi all,

i was given a dahlia that is half gone, and i was wondering the best way to care for it going into melbourne winter… should i trim it back? would it be ok in a mini outdoor greenhouse, or better to keep in the garage or inside..? any suggestions would be great! google has mixed thoughts, and keeps suggesting cutting it back to tuber, which i don’t necessarily want to do.

thanks!

Possible Palm Tree Problem

Hi all,

We moved into our current house about 2-3 weeks ago. We have inherited a palm tree, which I don’t know if it’s in good shape or not, and furthermore what to do about it. Would anyone please share some wisdom on what (if anything) we need to do here?

Three main concerns - (1) the growth underneath the frond, (2) the state of the fronds, and (3) the peeling off of some of the more superficial bark - some fairly big (but thin) bark has fallen off, of about 1-1.5m length a few days ago.
