Brozikies, if the “Polycarbon Powder” shader ever comes back into rotation, I will delete this account. Banana papaya
Just kidding! Please bring it back, though. I really want it.

Everyone here loves Destiny, but aztecross is truly going on the deepend and making videos featuring grifter Grummz, who has famously scammed $600k+ from backers to the game which he is now making with an AI slop game engine.
All the while spewing bigotry and racism.
You have to do better Aztecross.
EDIT: Please, my whole post is just talking about grummz who spews that stuff and Aztecross just showing him makes grummz justified and he keeps doing bad stuff.
English is not my first language.
I am very sorry, I do not mean to say Aztecross is saying that stuff, I have left the community and have stopped watching the videos moving forward. Sorry.
Unannounced blizzard StarCraft shooter is rumored to be announced at blizcon next month. Fingerprints and other evidence for this game have been around since 2024. Project lead is Dan Hay, former executive director of Far Cry. Jeff Hamilton, a lead WoW end game progression and loot developer was allegedly reassigned to this title. It fits the “blizzard polish” theorem. They historically take a game theory with a ton of potential, and polish it up by streamlining and putting their own ip on it. If this actually a looter shooter, it could feed families.

Not sure if this kind of post is allowed here, but I figured if there’s anywhere worth showing this super early prototype, it’s probably to other Destiny players.
With the Destiny franchise as a whole winding down, we’ve been messing around with making something that scratches a similar itch. We love the gunplay, buildcrafting, and worldbuilding, and I also personally like tower defense. I still remember playing Sanctum back then and thinking it felt pretty fresh for the genre, so we started wondering if those two things could work together
That eventually became Project Arrivals (working title, and yes, a nod to the best season ever), basically our attempt at taking some of that Destiny-ish FPS DNA and putting it into a game where you build the defenses first, then fight alongside them.
Yes it will be looter shooter based with some degree of buildcrafting, but the core gameplay will revolve around sanctum like mode, because we're a tiny team and we have made peace we can't make a game as varied as D2
This is still super, super early. Yes, it’s rough. Yes, there’s basically a discount Vex Harpy in there because I ran out of time to make proper enemies lmao. The gunplay is getting there, but it’s still nowhere near where we want it yet. Same goes for the animations, feedback, enemies, and even the art direction (although I liked it personally, I've always been a fan to risk of rain 2)
It was still pretty rough around 1 to 2 weeks into development when we noticed Rising Tide 4 had a funding opportunity, so we rushed this trailer out in about 2 weeks to make the deadline.
It somehow made it to Round 2, so if you want to see this weird Destiny + tower defense experiment get a chance to grow into something more complete, a Strong vote would help give our minuscule team a shot at funding it properly
Vote here!
Quick heads up: it might ask you to verify by email for the vote to count. And definitely check out the other entries too, there’s some other cool stuff in there!
EDIT: Got a few DMs asking how to support the project. The biggest thing you can do right now is help spread the word as widely as possible, whether that’s sharing it in Discord servers, reposting it, sending it to other Destiny communities, etc.
Organic discussion is also really useful for us right now. Even just reactions to the trailer, what feels right, what doesn’t, what stands out, and what people would want to see improved gives us a lot to work with while the project is still this early. And if you want to support us directly, voting in Rising Tide still helps a ton too!
Apologies in advance. It’s very long 😂
Hunter: Rook-12
Ghost: Diamond
AKA Cayde’s prodigy
My “Young Wolf” (one that did everything from d1 to present in my head cannon)
Cayde taught him everything there was to know about being a hunter. After their feet’s on Oryx’s dreadnaught, they became close. Cayde was a mentor and a close friend to Rook. Rook would come back to the tower after every mission he went on and would tell Cayde the stories of his travels, cause we all know how much Cayde loved stories. After Cayde’s murder, he was entirely consumed by grief for his fallen friend. And with this grief came rage. And with this rage, Rook went on to avenge his death, killing Uldren Sov and taking Cayde’s beloved hand cannon the Ace of Spades back from Uldren’s hands. When he returned to the tower, he went to Banshee and asked if he could repair Ace. But banshee didn’t have what he needed so he went on and searched for Cayde’s stashes on Titan. All of these stashes had pre-recorded messages in them for whoever killed him. But one stuck out to him most. The one that was made for him. As he listened to his dear friend’s voice for the last time, he was overcome with a feeling of sadness like he’s never experienced before. But at the end of Cayde’s message to him, Cayde said something that would stick with him for the rest of his life. “Take CARE of Ace… Use it well”. So Rook did what hunters do. Took Cayde’s cloak and wrapped it around himself, and vowed to not let his death be in vain. He would go on to use Ace in every battle he would find himself in all the way up til Excision. When Uldren was resurrected as Crow, every fiber in Rooks being wanted to kill him for what he did. It took him a long, LONG time to realize that it wasn’t what HE did. It was what ULDREN did. Crow is not Uldren. The two eventually became comrades and Rook accepted him as the new Hunter Vanguard after Cayde gave him the mantle. When Rook saw Cayde again in the pale heart, he was overcome with joy and wanted to cry, even though exos can’t. Fighting side by side with his dear friends again felt almost nostalgic to him. Then when Cayde sacrificed himself to save his ghost Diamond, he was once again filled with grief. But also a feeling of almost satisfaction. Because Cayde got to go out the way HE wanted this time. Like Cayde said “Nobody makes my fate but me”. And now that the Witness is dead, Rook finds himself lost and aimlessly wandering because in his mind there are no more battles to be fought. So he roams the wilds, like a true hunter should, like Cayde always dreamed of being able to do again. Ace in hand and Cayde’s cloak never, EVER, coming off.
Titan: Holden-4
Ghost: Strong-arm
Him and his fireteam consisted of him, his best friend Geraac Vosh, who was an awoken hunter, and his lover Serenity-6, a friend warlock who was also an exo like him (they bonded over being exos and having the infamous exo nightmares). They were just leaving for a mission from the tower when the Cabal attacked back in the Red War. When the light was taken by Dominus Ghaul, they fled for safety outside the city perimeter and made a small camp not far from the EDZ. Then a Cabal patrol consisting of one Centurion and 4 warbeasts came passing through. Lightless and afraid, the fireteam could not fight back. The centurian slaughtered both Geraac and Serenity ruthlessly. After witnessing his lover and best friend massacred in front of him at the hands of this monster, consumed with blind rage and grief, he ferociously attacked the Centurion and the warbeasts head on. He blacked out and when he woke up, he found his hands covered in cabal blood and his helmet buried in the skull of the centurian. All 4 warbeasts were ripped limb from limb. His ghost Strong-arm told him he’s never seen such strength come from someone without the light, and that it frightened him a little bit. Still filled with grief for his lover and friend, he buried the both of them. He then took the pauldrons of the centurion and put them on as a warning to all other cabal that he was coming for them. He then attached Serenity’s sash she always wore around herself to the left pauldron. He grabbed his dear friend Geraac’s favorite hand cannon (I thought Solemn Semblance would be a good fit for this) and vowed to fight the cabal until his dying breath. When Ghaul was defeated and the light was restored, he constantly pushed to be put on missions and strikes where Cabal would be present, as to fill his vengeful heart that could never be filled. And when the Vanguard eventually made peace with Empress Caital, he was filled with anger. Because in his mind, all Cabal are vicious monsters. He hates returning to the tower because of the Cabal standing guard in the place that they once nearly eviscerated. For travelers sake, Caital’s father is Emperor Calus of all things. How could the vanguard let this happen? Needless to say he gained a distrust in the vanguard and started hunting what’s left of the red legion and Calus’s army and hasn’t stopped since.
Warlock: Silas-7
Ghost: Apollo
When Silas was resurrected and brought to the tower, he felt alone. Never “fitting in” like all the other guardians were. In turn, he became extremely introverted and lonely. Until he met a fellow warlock a couple of weeks after being resurrected by the name of Azzato. Azzato was the complete opposite of Silas but at the same time so similar. Extroverted as all hell but still could not find any friends. Azzato was a human and was resurrected and brought to the tower around the same time Silas was. So Silas was the first Exo he’d ever seen and naturally he was fascinated by Silas being a walking talking robot of a man. The two quickly became good friends. They ended up doing everything together. From uncovering the secrets of ancient Hive tablets to taking out Cabal on Mars. Until one day when the pair was tasked with clearing out a Fallen hideout in the Cosmodrome. Everything was moving smoothly. Taking out Fallen as they found them. They found themselves in a wide open area and way too exposed, yet nothing was attacking them. Azzato said “Not gonna lie to you buddy, I don’t like this one bit…” Silas was thinking to himself “No shit… me neither”. But before Silas could say that, a Fallen walker descended from the ceiling and landed right in front of the two of them catching them way off guard. As it charged up its cannon aiming at Silas, Azzato screamed “SILAS LOOK OUT” and pushed him out of the way, taking the full force of the Walkers cannon to his chest. Silas got back up and before he could help his friend, a Vandal camped out in the back of the room quickly took out Azzato’s ghost, killing him for the last time. Silas, witnessing his best and only friend die his final death in almost slow motion it felt like, screamed out Azzato’s name and ran to his body, not even the slightest concern about the Fallen about to kill him as well. Hovering over his only friend and fallen a hundred fallen quickly closing in on him as the walker charged up a second shot, he wanted to give up. But he knew that Azzato would want him to live on and keep fighting. So in a moments notice, Silas casted his Dawn Blade, infusing it with all of his grief and anger. His Dawn Blade was burning so hot it could’ve given Ana Bray a run for her money with her Golden Gun. He incinerated every fallen in the vicinity and melted the walker down to its core within minutes. He took Azzato’s body back to the tower to burry him and gave his report to the Vanguard. Years have past now and he is still alone. Nobody but his ghost to keep him company. He was extremely depressed. But then something happened. He overheard from one of the other guardians about the famous Young Wolf’s triumph over Panoptes with the aid of Osiris within the infinite forest. Then something clicked in his head that he never ever thought was possible. “If they were able to travel in time… maybe I can too…” So he went to Mercury in search of the infinite forest and the Vex. He always thought that he should’ve been the one to die that day, not Azzato. After all, the walker was aiming at him not Azzato. So he wanted to find a timeline where he DID die and Azzato lived, so he could bring Azzato back to this timeline so they both could live. He became obsessed with the Vex. Obsessed with learning all their secrets of time and how to access other realities. So obsessed to the point where he started integrating Vex technology into his armor and weapons. He even figured out how to create his own Vex conflux to store all the knowledge of the Vex he uncovered, eventually mounting it onto his warlock bond. He’s still searching for that timeline, and he’s not going to stop until he’s reunited with the only person that he could call a friend.
I dont know if the stats are random or not lol.
Hey folks, hope this is okay to post here as I know there are quite a few Destiny fans here. A bit ago someone else posted about our game, but today I wanted to share a video showing off the first actual gameplay of it (though still early days, and has a ways to go, with features still to be added and lots of polish):
We're just a 2-man dev team, but are building this with a love for Destiny 2, and wanting to stay true to its formula. We feel there are a lot of games out there that dance around what Destiny brought, but always stray too far. We want to innovate, but we want to still keep the stuff that people enjoyed from the series.
Great video to watch.
