Just joined this club with a nice pre-owned i4 M50

As gas prices are getting ridiculous in Europe (thanks orange-haired wanker), it was time to sell one of my ICE cars and get this thing here. The cost savings will be enormous, as most oft the energy is produced with solar panels on the houses roof. It is a mid 24 used i4M50 with around 8000 miles on the clock. The only thing missing for me really is the heated staring wheel so far that i got to enjoy on my old z4 m40i. Its got the care package (not sure if the US gets this) and warranty extension till mid 28, so im a happy camper.

Just picked her up yesterday. '23, CPO.

Whats a good tesla charger adapter for it?

Is any one using a nema 10-30 adapter for dryer plug? What is a recommended dryer plug setup. I am bot able to upgrade my panel since I am not the owner of my residence.

Aftermarket Windshield Wiper Blades?

Question for those US based, have you found any good aftermarket windshield wiper blades for your i4 M50?
My dealer sells them for $80+ and they’re garbage so I’m looking for options.

Upcoming road trip tips and recommendations

Hello wonderful community,

My wife and I are going on a road trip in a few weeks. It's our first big road trip in this car, and EV. Going from home (Los Angeles are) to Austin, TX. I do have free charging from EA with my 24 BMW i4 M50.

A few questions I have:

  1. Has anyone done this trip?

  2. Can I or should I stick to EA charging stations only?

  3. Should I use Tesla supercharging stations as well? I do have the BMW recommended adapter

  4. Anything else I'm missing or should consider?

  5. Daily and shorter trips I use Android Auto and Google maps, should I use BMW maps for routing including charging stops?

  6. Drive mode settings I should use?

  7. Any car settings I should change or use to make driving and the trip go smoothly? (B mode, etc)

Please let me know your long distance trips recommendations. I did download the app ABRP. Any other apps? Tesla app for charging?
