I graduated from OCS back in April. I am in the Reserves as a 70B & I was slotted for the JULY 14th date back in March… I still have yet to receive my orders. I have received the welcome letter for BOLC. I have been in contact with the HRC manager but she hasn’t gotten any answers as well.
Is anybody else dealing with this or just me?
Headed to LOG BOLC pretty soon and was curious about what makes it so academically challenging? The PT standards don't seem bad but I keep seeing people on here saying you NEED to study when my mentors have said it was a cake walk?
With that do you have any tips for the best way to approach the tests and such?
Also how is the hotel?? Do we get what we need to cook such as pots and pans?
Hi there! Has anyone seen people bring their spouse and kids while attending BOLC? Kind of in a weird situation, just sold our house as I graduated OCS because we’re going to HI after BOLC. I just wanted to hear from people who are currently there or have recently gone through it.

Does anyone currently at IBOLC or who graduatedrecently have information on what the situation with Ranger School is? I’ve been told that every Active Duty 11A goes immediately (which is why IBOLC is a PCS) and that only a fraction go immediately with everyone else PCSing to their first duty station only to come TDY for Ranger school
I am currently scheduled for MI BOLC Class 27-001 report date OCT 19. I am interested in swapping for an earlier BOLC date if someone is interested. If you have MI BOLC in AUG or SEP 2026 and are AD, DM me to swap.
There are many issues the army faces but the biggest ones(ROTC wise and future wise) has to be the constant issue of age discrimination especially for junior officers.
There is a difference between criticism and just breaking someone down and there has to be an army mandated policy to resolve this issue board wide. I understand the concept of “old army” and how the army has genuinely changed, but the reality is we aren’t in those times anymore. Where drone warfare is a thing and other complex issues are here we need young people and coachable people that will lead soldiers to fight engage and destroy the enemy.
It can’t be done by discriminating against their young age, if they are shit coach and guide them to be better and if they are good help them maintain that. The whole idea of “it’s not my problem” when in reality it is and people always fail to realize that. I won’t blame it on anyone specifically, as not to get downvoted.
This is just my viewpoint I’m open to any further discussion and any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I was wondering if anyone has advice/guidance for MS BOLC? And for AGSU & ACU setup, do we set the uniforms up for the unit we're PCS'ing to, or do we keep them sort of generic until we actually get to said unit?

I finally have a BOLC date, in January, does anyone have any info on whether there will be funding for GBR in FY27?
For the candle wood suites I heard am not allowed to bring my spouse to stay with me and if I have to it will be about $110 per night is this true or any way around this. Am AD by the way
