We currently live in Georgia and are moving to the Northeast to get away from the heat. We've seen a lot of houses that fit our needs in the Barre area. What's the good and bad about moving there? I do know about flooding and checking flood zones carefully.

Anyone have any information on this organization? I'm new to Vermont and looking for volunteer opportunities that might be a good fit for me. I don't want to get caught up in a cash machine disguised as a charity like Goodwill.
