Hi I joined a couple FB pages that post bats and other baseball equipment for sale. Some of the members (admin included) are selling brand new composite bats for less than half of the MSRP price and it raises some red flags for me. I get them trying to get rid of last year models, but can anybody explain how they can do this to still turn a profit? Looks like some sellers are posting photos from inside D-Bat or some other store and they never share their location when asked.

Trying to identify a late 1980s / early 1990s aluminum softball bat from my childhood.

- Bought at Longs Drugs in Santa Rosa, CA
- Cheap/generic department store bat
- 33”
- Silver aluminum
- Blue print that said “ALL STAR”
- Had several blue stars running vertically from the handle toward the barrel
- Looked very “Darryl Strawberry era”

Not a premium Easton/Louisville/etc. Probably a generic or store-brand recreational softball bat.

I’d honestly buy one today for nostalgia if anybody has one or remembers the brand and model.
