I've been to the Gorge a few times for A&B weekender shows and people always have decks and speakers in campion, but looking at the rules amplified speakers aren't allowed? Has this always been a rule, or is it just not enforced? Were there Renegades in camping at Beyond this year, or did y'all get your speakers taken at check in and shit down if you snuck them in?

Why were there so few dancers at beyond? I don't think there's a single point where I saw more than 10% of people at a set dancing, and I probably saw less than 20 people who demonstrated that they actually practice or dance regularly - out of 15,000 people who were there

So where are they?

long shot here but i met this really sweet guy walking back from the restroom by the bass stage. he gave me a hot sticker then we blew a kiss to each other. i should’ve gotten your info but my friends had been waiting for me and im quite shy 😂. he was a tall black man with black sunglasses and a colorful shirt / hat combo. i’m a black woman who had a red and black outfit on. would love to connect

The only time I've ever gotten sick after a festival was the first Beyond after the covid lockdowns which is also the only time I had covid. I am usually pretty good at managing dust and taking care of myself as much as possible to try to prevent it. Feel miserable!

This mother fucker threw down soooooooo hard. It was absolutely bonkers seeing how crazy empty it was for the first half of his set. It made me happy though I got ample room to dance my ass off and enjoy his vibes!

I brought my mom to Beyond! and everyone was so excited to meet her! I had so much fun taking advantage of my mom for her swag and my mom had so much fun taking advantage of me for the experiences that she wouldn't have otherwise had ♥️♥️

I've had so much fun throughout this year reintroducing my mom to the rave scene and this Beyond Wonderland was only the FIRST festival she's been to!! (meaning there will be more 😈😈😈)

now to the MEAT and POTATOES of this post:

I met this dude on the way back to camp after the preparty and I wish I knew anything else about him besides that he was a white guy and that he has the same name as a famous black actor but since its his his full legal name, I figure I probably shouldnt include it LOL

I was waiting for my mom outside the portapotties to the right of mad hatters castle and this dude started talking to me abt whatever one would talk to a fellow raver about post-rave (did u have fun, why r u on the ground, etc.) and then I asked if he wanted to meet my mom and I think maybe he didn't believe me at first but eventually he realized I was being serious abt waiting for my mom and I was like "do you think your really ready to meet my mom?" and he said yeah or wtvr and I said "Idk.. I don't think my mom would want me to introduce her to some dude I don't even know the name of" and he said his name was [REDACTED](like the actor). AND THEN things starting taking a very silly turn, and it's not gonna make sense cuz I know we were all fucked up on whatever our respective substances were at the time, but I was like "oh! 💡 I know you! wait we went to school together" and he immediately started playing along like "oh yeah I remember" and then it progressed to us saying like we grew up together, went to preschool together, and THEN it turned into we were born together, and that we're long lost twins 😭😭😭 and then my mom walks out of the bathroom and I was just like "how come you didn't tell me I had a long lost twin brother", as my mom is literally MEETING this man. But my mom 'can hang' so she immediately started going with it and it was funny. And then the subject quickly changed when my mom opened her phone to ask where my sister was and bro noticed on my mom's phone screen that her text font is SO HUGE and dude literally starts laughing so hard in disbelief that someone would need their text to be that big and he's like "Why is your text so HUGE???" and I was like "she needs it that big cuz she's HALF A CENTURY OLD" and we were all like crying laughing as we're walking back to camp. I remember eventually I ironically stopped laughing and was like "hey 🫵 that's my mom you're talkin about buddy" and he was just still laughing and said something like "pshh she likes it" (she did).

Eventually we split to go to our respective camps or whatever for the night

anyways I'm not trying to find the dude for anything romantic or anything like dat, i just thought he was funny af and I guess I just wanted to share the experience cuz it was hilarious.. and if that means finding the dude in the process... hmu I guess 🤷‍♀️

(I am single but not typically into fully caucasian males.... I am a pretty big fan of whimsy and we all know the saying, 'if u can make her laugh and giggle...~ u can look up the other half)

Hi everyone so I was a performer for beyond this year. I was actually the 5 of hearts card. Lil back story here, I have been a performer now of over 15 years. 3rd time performing at the gorge. 1st time back performing since having my first son. I was real nervous about performing since it had been 4 years since I had last performed. After this weekend though I realized I still loved it so fucking much and from what I've been hearing people loved me. It makes me so happy to hear that I still got it. Made me so happy to make people's experiences that much better. Love you all so damn much. If any of you have pics please send em to me.

I was camping next to two women who originally had some people with them on Saturday who went home early on Sunday, and they were currently living in my hometown. I was camping with my friend, and you two said you thought we were dating for some reason. Anyways, I wanted to say thanks to you, your friend, sister, brother in law, and their friend but you’re not texting me (a rave baby) back to try to plan for Bass Canyon in August.

I think I’ll pick up camping tickets later this month, and GA+ festival tickets too. I wasn’t sure if I should do GA+ camping next time or just GA, and plan to be near the same camping neighbors.

Thanks to the five of you again though! Made my Sunday a night to remember, even if we stopped at making out and just let loose. :)

And I’m probably keeping the Rave Girly bracelet because of the memories for a few events, and will make some more before Nero’s set on Friday. 🫡
