Hey Breeo Crew,
I wanted to share some photos of my X24 certified “seconds” purchase when it recently arrived as an example. Overall, it’s what I expected knowing that cosmetics of the pit are the only reason it didn’t make the quality control. Bought it for $449. I also bought the spark screen which looked nearly perfect.
Can’t wait to start using it with the first fire in a few days!
I was gifted a Luxeve for father's day a few years ago and the cover only covers the fire pit, not the ring of glass that surrounds the firebox.
When the yard crew comes to clean up pieces of jagged blue glass invariably get blown out. I talked to support at Breeo and they suggested using the x30 cover but the Luxeve outer circumference is 36" while the x30 lid is only 34.5".
I was thinking maybe I could use a clear epoxy resin - pour it into the outer ring and suspend the glass in a matrix but that would likely invalidate the warranty and I'm not sure if there's a high-heat version resin. I could also just empty out the ring and keep it clear.
Might be I could have a top manufactured for it at a local welding shop - I think S&S fire pits would do it for me but it seems crazy that I'm the only one with this issue.
Thoughts?
Don't want to pester any of you, but thought it'd be worth a callout.
What will you buy? (I'm eyeing up the Skillet Rest)
Chicken Thighs and Broccoli over the fire.
Setup:
Y Series Smokeless Fire Pit
Outpost Grill
Breeo Kettle (For steam)
After cooking up the bacon and sausage I moved the griddle over to the unused campsite fire pit to cool and later clean. It didn't take long!
Trying to figure out which one to buy in the x30. I’ve been reading that the Stainless does rust over time and doesn’t hold up well in a couple of years and the warranty only is 5 years for rust does anyone have any more information and can lead me into the right direction to buy because a 1500$ pit to have to replace in 5-10 years just doesn’t seem worth it.
