Beavers Mini mart -- what do you think it was about this particular lawsuit that made the community come back to life and try to protect this business? We have generally seen people become nihilistic and jaded, so the community coming together for Beavers mini mart is very different

Buc-ee's is suing Beaver's Mini Mart—a family shop that's been open in Beavercreek for over 20 years. Is this real brand protection or corporate bullying?

Donnica and Ro Nita discussed Buc-ee's suing Beaver's Mini Mart, a local shop in Beavercreek that has operated for over two decades. Buc-ee's claims trademark infringement, but using legal money to target a neighborhood corner store is part of a broader corporate playbook. Whether it's Walmart or massive travel centers, big chains move into new markets and immediately go after long-standing local businesses to monopolize the area. Crushing small family shops isn't "healthy competition"—it's aggressive corporate legal bullying.

Is this legal strategy fair game for corporate expansion, or does it cross the line?

Buc-ee's files new lawsuit against another store, we need to call on the real OG to come to the fight

Buc-ee's has filled yet another lawsuit against another small business gas station for the save reasons as here in Beavercreek. I believe it's time we call on our childhood hero to finally come and claim what is rightfully theirs to make Buc-ee's lose their own trademark.

From the news article here:

https://www.wral.com/news/ap/bucees-sues-georgia-store-over-beaver-mascot-august-2026/

it states...

That lawsuit claims a number of trademark infringements, including that both logos are cartoonish, both are arbitrarily wearing hats, they both have white highlights on their eyes and nose, and that both characters show a glimpse of a red or pink tongue.

The lawsuit claims the name Teddy's is also an issue with alleged similarities to the Buc-ee's name in a number of ways, including that they are both two syllables with a hard consonant sound and that both end in the sound "eez."

To this I have to say:...

It's time for Charles Entertainment Cheese to come take back the circled rodent symbol for the people. They did it first.

Buc-ees Captcha and I don't know which ones to pick??? They all look the same!! Disclaimer for Buc-ees legal team, I am being sarcastic, please don't use this post as evidence that customers are confused by the logo

To the people who keep saying Buc-ees has no choice but to file the lawsuits because they would loss their trademark if they didn't, you are repeating propaganda. Find me a single example where a company lost their trademark because they didn't sue other companies with totally different logos.

Get Out Of Ohio

No one is confusing your shitty brand for the local stores here.

Edit: For all the down votes and negative comments, let's be real. I wouldn't have an issue if Buc-ees wanted to do business in Ohio by offering great service. I wouldn't care if they displaced the market because their product was better.

But that's not what they're doing. They're intimidating small local businesses with frivolous lawsuits and treating the general public like we're morons. You think I can't tell the difference between a moose and a beaver? You think I can't realize a town called Beavercreek has no connection to your brand?

If they were smart, they would have worked with the community, not went to war with it.

So yes, fuck off Bucees. Go back to Texas. The owner can sue someone else to cover for his son's felonies.

Ok, this is really scary. In the Bucees vs choke canyon case the defense was not allowed to present evidence of a survey showing that 99% of the respondents said they would not confuse the two logos. Why was that evidence excluded? I dont want to jump to the conclusion that someone was paid off.
