OG CR10, upgrading electronics?
My original CR10 has been shot for a while. The power supply either died for the third time or the motherboard gave up the ghost. Either way if I'm sinking more cash into fixing the printer I was looking at some main boards that could be changed to something modern. Has anyone considered this option? Anything that makes it more plug and play is desired on my end.
Need some help with a CR10 V3
Borrowed from a friend who had it for years before me. Had it running some larger prints which took a while and it ended up running for a good couple weeks straight. No issue ran perfectly fine. Then randomly the head clogged. No issue cleaned it out and all. Ran it again. Same issue 10 minutes later. Tried tweaking setting re leveling the bed and cleaning up the feeding gears and all that. Nothing still just clogs up within 10 to 60 minutes of a print.
The feeding gear just starts grinding into the Filament because of the clog so it’s something in the nozzle but that’s the most I know. Iv cleaned it out using the tools a few times now. It’s not the filament itself as it’s the exact same stuff I have used for the past 2 weeks. I’m at a stuck point for what could be the issue
Update on my CR-10S rebuild project!
So the idea was to upgrade my old CR-10S...
Turns out I accidentally completely rebuilt it. 😂
It's been 6 months since I started this project, and needless to say, I'm super happy with how it's turned out. Keeping the original 300 × 300 mm build volume with a 2 kg build plate, I almost managed to print a sub-6-minute Benchy.
If you'd like to see how I got there, here's Part 3 of the build:

If anyone is interested in building something similar, I've been sharing all of the CAD files, STLs, and configuration files as the project progresses:

(Just note that the project isn't quite finished yet—the only thing left is the electronics cabinet. I'll post another update once that's done!)
Can anyone call or text about firmware stuff for the cr10s pro?
I bought a used cr10s pro and its homing is all messed up. The lcd has some firmware from tiny machines but I don’t know what and I don’t know if it matches the motherboard because the auto home is so messed up. Every YouTube video I watch is super outdated with links that don’t exist and files that I can’t download and it’s all way to much for me, especially because I’ve never even touched a 3d printer before this. Can anyone please help? Please don’t tell me to just google or just watch YouTube, I would really enjoy one on one to help better answer my questions. I have a chord for pc connection, I have a micro as formatted to fat32 and that’s it. I don’t know what I need. Can anyone help me please?

Help with resetting firmware
Hello! I bought a used cr10s pro and the auto home is completely out of wack. All it does it move to the top right. I’m completely new to 3d printing and I don’t even know what chord I need to connect to pc. Can I get any help? Thank you!
How does the Z axis when to stop?
Hi! Im modifying a CR-10S pro to convert it into a ceramic printer, but when i tried to calibrateit, the auto-home didnt finish because it got stuck, it seems like the z axis movement is bumping against something, except that something is the motor’s mounting (picture).
I took off all the parts that i added, and the problem persists, so i think the issue is that it doesnt recognize when to stop. How does the axis usually tell where the end is? I cant see any mechanical/electronic stops that could send that signal.
Multiple speed during print.
I've always had an issue with my CR-10 prints sticking to the build plate. If I select anything other than a raft I cannot get a print past the second layer. Using a raft though usually works fine. I have a BLtouch and leveling seems good. The first and second layers appear to be pulling up when the print head changes directions.
I want to try having the first few layers print slower then once a few layers have been placed to go the desired print speed. Is there a custom g-code that can be put in Cura to print the first few layers slower then proceed at a second speed later?
