Electrify Bike Co. CYC X1 Pro Gen 4 order is taking forever!

Hi everyone,

I've had my eye on the CYC X1 Pro Gen 4 for a while and a few months ago I began building a Canyon Neuron Al 6 mountain bike and converting it to electric. I live in Utah and Electrify Bike Co. is also based Utah and has it's shop in West Valley.

I ordered a CYC X1 Pro from Electrify on June 19 and was expecting to receive it with in at most 2-4 weeks as this is what they have listed for delivery time WITH delays. I didn't notice when I ordered it that I was ordering a pre-order. I was a bit annoyed as they didn't have it listed super clearly but it is what it is. It's now been almost 2 months exactly since I ordered it and I'm frustrated with how long this is taking.

I've sent quite a few support tickets to Electrify Bike Co. and they've normally responded in decent time, but every time they tell me they're expecting it soon then it doesn't show up. At first they said they were hoping to have them in by late June, then they told me they were expecting the shipment to arrive mid July, and then the latest they said they were told it should be in next week which was 3 weeks ago.

I'm quite frustrated and it's really disappointing because I ordered the CYC motor at the start of this summer and was excited to take it on some bike packing trips but now summers quickly coming to a close and I'm still without a motor.

Is anyone is a similar situation as me? If anyone has ordered from CYC or Electrify Bike Co. and received your order, how long did it take?

Photon 2 spacer and temperature question

Just got a Photon 2 after having many Bafang mid drive kits on different bikes and I'm liking it so far. It's a little noisier but worth it for the torque sensing and everything just feeling better. That said, documentation on installation is not great with broken links to manuals etc. Feels like a company going out of business, which I hope is not true because I think they make a great product.

A few questions have come up for me about installation and general use that hopefully someone can chime in on.

-I have the 83mm width and am using it on a 68mm bb shelled frame. Can those three spacers go on either side to center the crank arms, adjust the chainline, or make room for larger chainrings? With all spacers on the left side (as available videos show) my chainring is nearly touching the chainstay, my left crank is further out to the side than the right crank, and my chainline would be better if it was scooted out towards the right (for the gears I'm normally in). Basically all signs point to put at least some spacers on the right side. Is there any reason those three spacers can't go on whichever side makes most sense for the situation?

-Is there a temperature you try to keep the motor and controller under? I'm sort of assuming that this fancier kit will be smart enough to protect itself and not let me get it too hot, but that could be a dangerous or expensive assumption. I get the motor up to 135f for short periods of time going up a short hill, using appropriate gearing to not put a lot of stress on the motor. When I'm going up the hill I'm not pedaling the whole time because I have the bike in a gear that's at the upper range of my cadence to keep the motor at happy RPMs.

Thanks for any input/guidance.
