Anyone with similar timeline waiting for FD?

ADR 22nd July.

Just wanting some information on entering Canada with a dui from Australia. I’m wanting to enter Canada August next year as an English citizen and got a dui around 3 months ago in Australia. Will this not allow me to enter ? Thanks

I am currently self employed for a company in canada and working remotely.
This will be counted as work exp in fsw but not in ee (due to self employment).

I'll be going to a diff country and working(self employed) remotely from there.
I had few questions regarding this:

1. If I were to work from other company, would it be considered as foreign experience in ee as well (ik it is for fsw)?
2. If yes, do I need to get my wages in that country's bank account or is getting it in canadian bank account is fine?
3. Would I have to do/show anything else to prove this as a foreign work exp?
4. Would changing my domicile affect the consideration of this job for fsw?

TLDR: What is required for me to show a job as foreign work experience? (Physical location or bank statements of income in other country)

Hi. I submitted a work permit application from India . I want to raise a web form and I did couple days back. I got an acknowledgment and another email stating it’s been sent to Delhi embassy.

I called ircc today. The agent told me she can’t see my webform. She told me my application’s primary office is Canada and secondary office is in Delhi.

She told me for them to see the webform I need to select country of residency as Canada.

Not sure if she told me the right thing. Please help

I'm starting to see what's happening in my country and I don't want to be apart of whats to come and so I want to move to Canada. Ive worked in the food industry for about 6 years and now work at a 3 star hotel as a cook. I have skill and work ethic and could work somewhere easily. I just don't know how I would go about applying. I looked into the website for applying and couldn't quite make sense of what it all means. I'm sorry if this isn't the place to ask this sort of questions it's just I'm not quite sure where to ask.

trying to understand how this works in Canada because most of the information online seems to talk about convictions, but not what happens while a case is still open.say someone is in Ontario on a work permit or waiting for PR and gets charged with something, but hasn’t been convicted. can the pending charge itself cause problems with an application or renewal?

also, would it make more sense to speak with an immigration lawyer first or a criminal lawyer who understands how the outcome could affect immigration?

not asking for advice on a specific case, just confused about which part of the situation needs to be dealt with first.

My brother and I are travelling to cananda from the UK this Tuesday. He was arrested for a drug related offence in 2019 but the charges were dropped and it never went to court. The IRCC requested a police record (ACRO), which simply says "NO TRACE", which is good lol.
That was over a week ago. Just wondering if anybody knows anything about how this works and what you think? anyone have any ideas about how to hurry the process up?

● Program: Express Entry (French category)
● AOR: May 9, 2025
● Current processing time: More than 14 months
● Eligibility: Review Required since August 2025 (still in progress)
● Criminality: Passed
● Security: Not started
● Medical: Passed
● Background: In progress
● GCMS notes: Requested more than 2 months ago and still waiting.
● MP contacted: Twice, but they only confirmed that my application is still under Review Required.
● Multiple webforms sent: No change.
I’m honestly exhausted and don’t know what to expect anymore.
Has anyone had a similar file with:
● Eligibility under Review Required for many months?
● Criminality passed but Security not started?
● More than 14 months of processing?
If yes:
● How long did it take before you received a final decision?
● Was your application eventually approved or refused?
● Did anything help move your file forward?

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for Express Entry under NOC 22221 (User Support Technicians) and I'm claiming Canadian work experience from Teleperformance (formerly Majorel Canada Inc.), where I worked as a Technical Support Advisor.

My employer only issues a standard employment verification letter. It includes:

• Job title
• Employment dates
• Salary
• States that I was a full-time employee
• Some general job duties

However, it does not specify my weekly hours, and the duties are quite generic, such as:

• Responsible for accurate data input using prescribed applications.
• Participates in additional training when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Exercises retention efforts when appropriate.
• Works in a fast-paced team environment.
• and some others (1-2 points for technical work).

My immigration lawyer believes this is not detailed enough for NOC 22221 because it doesn't clearly describe the technical support work I actually performed (troubleshooting technical issues, researching solutions, documenting support cases, etc.).

HR says they use a company-wide template and generally cannot modify it. I'm trying another HR contact, but I'm not sure whether they'll agree.

My questions are:

1. Has anyone successfully used a similar generic Teleperformance/Majorel reference letter for NOC 22221?
2. Did IRCC accept it, or did they ask for additional documents?
3. If your employer refused to change the letter, what alternative evidence did you submit (manager letter, affidavit, LoE, etc.)?
4. Based on your experience, do you think this letter alone would be sufficient?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation, especially if you worked at Teleperformance or Majorel.

I will withdraw from uni for 8 months after having low gpa in my second year due to my mental issues but hope to come back and wanted to know if im just ineligible for PGWP forever now or do i have a way around it?

Last week, I have applied for the Indian PCC from Canada through BLS international in Ottawa.

I have studied my UG as a foreign national in India for 4 years during 2016-2020. On 2021, I went back to India for a month just to get the PCC and got it for the duration of 2016-2020, which is obviously expired now.

I’m seeing couple of reviews and posts where people are waiting several months (~ 7+ Months) for this and I can say for sure this is worrying, stressful! I just’ve created my EE profile and applied PCC in advance so that before ITA I can have a valid PCC otherwise I’ve to go through the same process.

As of now, both my current and old passport are submitted along with the paperwork and HCI Ottawa will keep your PP with then until they issue you a new PCC.

My question to the community: “

1. Is there any foreign national who got their Indian PCC within 2 months window? or for every foreign national this is more than that?”

2. I saw a review of an email back & forth to HCI Ottawa, and they don’t respond. Why is this case?

3. Any contact/steps taken that helped to expedite the process? - I already informed my university references in advance that I applied and if police want verification & requested so that they can support

Could be something totally unexpected, oddly specific, or just plain awkward. Curious what people have run into.

Hey everyone! Quick check on my OINP Expression of Interest profile under NOC 62029 (Security Supervisor).

Calculated based on the criteria from yesterday's (July 20) OINP release, my profile covers all scoring factor brackets including NOC TEER category, broad occupational category, hourly wage band, job offer location, work permit status, job tenure with employer, CRA earnings history, highest level of education, Canadian credentials, location of study, language ability, and knowledge of official languages.

This gives me a final score of 75 points.

How likely is it that I will receive an invitation (ITA) with a 75 score in upcoming draws? Would love to hear your thoughts and predictions. Thanks in advance.

I’m writing to ask for your advice on how I can pursue legal action against my immigration consultant and, more generally, how to proceed without negatively affecting our application.

I have several reasons for wanting to take legal action, some of which, based on what I have read, may provide grounds for a case.

1-The consultant falsely advertised the PEI PNP stream as a two-year pathway to permanent residence. They have also demonstrated extremely poor communication throughout the process. The provincial stage alone took three years, even though we had already received a provincial nomination.

2-They also made a serious mistake by uploading two documents in the wrong fields, with each document placed where the other belonged. This caused our first federal permanent residence application to be refused and set us back by approximately six months. Instead of appealing the refusal, they submitted a new permanent residence application, which has now resulted in an additional two-year wait.

It has been six painful years since we began this process. Now that our family’s principal applicant is stuck in the background-check stage, our consultant has been unresponsive for weeks and refuses to follow up through any available means, such as requesting officer notes or submitting a web form.

Their mistake caused one refusal, they have been extremely unresponsive, and their office phone line is not even working. I am at my wits’ end. At this point, I want to pursue legal action for the financial and emotional harm they have caused my family and me.

Please advise me on what I should search for and which resources or legal professionals I should contact to pursue a case against them. They are still listed as the authorized representative on our application, but we are afraid to remove them without first taking the proper steps. They possess our documents and communications, and we need to gather all available evidence before removing them.

What can we do if we cannot reach them to request our records? Should we remove them as our representative as soon as possible?

While creating the express entry profile I said no the question “ Has Mr. X applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) before? Even though I had study permit and work permit in Canada. Now I am in India and Finally got the invitation for PR under CEC, and now when I was filing the forms; I researched a bit I found that I should be selecting YES and putting my UCI number that’s same for study and work permit. Tell me if I am wrong!!!

If I should be selecting YES, then do I need to explain to IRCC about why I selected NO while creating the Express Entry? Or it should be fine? Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thank you!
