My $5k feature finally released on streaming

It’s called “Cellar Noire” and you can watch it here: https://fawesome.tv/movies/10829509/cellar-noire or on any Fawesome app.

I wrote a movie about the three scariest things I could think of: losing my wife, the apocalypse, and claustrophobia.

It took me three years working entirely by myself. My wife and friends provided a few minutes of voice work but otherwise I was alone. My $5k budget consisted of a new Windows desktop with GPU, a 2nd hand Samsung Galaxy S23 phone, tripod, mics, some lights and props.

Finally it was released on streaming on Fawesome.TV (which I’ve been calling Tubi’s little upstart brother). Here’s the synopsis:

Cellar Noire: A claustrophobic psychological survival drama. Trapped after a catastrophe, Warren battles isolation, grief, & his mind, with a talking skeleton as his only companion. A dark, intense journey of despair and resilience. Zbigniew Winzig's sophomore entry in the "DIY Solo Film" movement.

The Devil’s DVD Bin did a very kind review (with spoilers) of the film that you can read here: https://thedevilsdvdbin.wordpress.com/category/cellar-noire-2026/

Now I can rest 🙂

I need help removing a couple films from this list

I made a list of 30 important Canadian films that I’ve seen, in order of how much I liked them. I couldn’t narrow it down to 30 though… I’m stuck at 32. I know it’s arbitrary and I could just make it a list of 32, but I like round numbers. Please help me decide which films to remove from this list.

I’m trying to remove ones that aren’t necessarily the worst on the list, but that aren’t “important Canadian films”… whatever that means. Thankyou!!

ETA: also, if you know of any other important Canadian films that you think ought to be on the list, let me know so I can check them out and maybe add them. (I’m trying to only include one film by any director though.)

Does anyone know how I can watch Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town (2012) in the UK?

Hello, I've been trying to find a way to watch this film in the UK, but have had extreme difficulties since I believe it only ever aired on Canadian TV with a DVD release exclusive to Canada, I tried to order the DVD from this link but they wouldn't accept my payment and haven't found any other listings. I've submitted a request to the library of Canada to buy a digital copy, but they've told me I need permission from the copyright owners and the director hasn't responded to my message on LinkedIn. Any help on other ways I could locate this film would be greatly appreciated as I don't really know where else to look.

Space milkshake movie set found

I was thinking of using these panels to make a playhouse, but then I realized I may have discovered the set to Space Milkshake! Just south of Saskatoon
I thought I should post about it here and maybe see if there’s some value for historians, collectors, or people who worked on the production.

Toronto Filmmaker looking for director for psychological drama short

Hey everyone, I’m a Toronto based actor/screenwriter currently putting together a psychological drama short called THE VOICE, which I wrote and will be starring in.

I’m looking for a director who has a strong understanding of psychological drama/thriller material and character driven, emotionally intense storytelling

This is a small independent short currently being assembled in toronto.

If this sounds like your lane, DM me and I’d be happy to share more about the project/script.
