Crack Theory?

Okay I NEED to talk about this with people:

This will be a as spoiler-free as possible discussion about a wild theory I have regarding a potential connection of both The Crowns of Nyaxia and The War of the Lost Hearts series;
(I obviously know they are separate series SUPPOSEDLY from different worlds, but juuuuust walk with me for a moment)
For context I have read TWotLH trilogy (and am currently re-reading through it again!) and every book (including the stand alone novel and novella) except The Lion and the Heart of Darkness (its next up once I finish the re-read of CoFG!)

I have 2 stronger points and 2 looser points that I will just leave for consideration and thought experimentation…

My overall theory is that the events of The War of the Lost Hearts takes place in a very distant future (1000+ years) of The Crowns of Nyaxia world.

  1. I think Ilyzath and Moithren/The Underworld have enough similarity to be the same place in different timelines…that’s all I’ll say to keep this spoiler-free

  2. The Syrizen and the Arachessen both connecting to deeper magics/sight-beyond-sight with rituals that involve removing the eyes… could be that even a thousand years later that the Orders found/“discovered” a similar ritual to get the resulting Syrizen

okay I have a looser points that I can’t really elaborate much on and have to be vague enough for this to be spoiler free- if you’re caught up on everything it should (hopefully) make sense:

  1. a certain character in The War of the Lost Hearts book 2 drank blood with “descended incisors” >!and used said blood to borrow magic!<… idk that sounds kinda vampiric to me 👀👀 maybe something happens to the vampires later on and they thin out so much to become Essnera (the cursed) among the Fey of the future…

  2. The gods have significantly less impact and no presence in TWotLH and TCoN, especially the synopsis of The Lion and the Heart of Darkness could maybe led to that being the case in the future…if they are connected

Please lmk if y’all have any other potential connections or debunk my existing ones if I missed anything!
I want thoughts, feelings, opinions, and any howls of outcry!

Confusion about Underworld

I am about 2/3 of my way through of the Songbird and the Heart of Stone.

I am enjoying this book so far but there’s a few things I’m confused about. The map of the Underworld included in the book shows the stages. I just don’t understand how they are traveling from one level to the next (falling through arches?). And how are the “souls” getting from one sanctum to the next? And what about the ones getting lost/stuck?

Also, there are some parts that mention the sun/sunlight. I think the first two novels in this series did a good job of demonstrating the characters only going out during the night (since vampires can’t be out in the sun). But there have been multiple instances where Mische mentions the sunlight or how it’s afternoon. Shouldn’t they not be in the sun?

Just confused, thanks
