Very disappointed - unresponsive touch

I’m wondering if it’s an issue with my unit or an issue that other people with carpodgo t4+ ran into.

When I get in my car for a good 10 to 15 minutes sometimes up to thirty minutes, the touch functionality doesn’t work, CarPlay starts and displays the main screen but no matter what I do, touch doesn’t work.

I updated to the latest software on the website and still running into the same issue.

I have an iPhone 16 running iOS 26.5.2. Tried with an iPhone 14 too, same issue.

Biggest problem is that I need the touch most when I get into the car to put an address into the maps. Even if I set it up from my phone if I make a call on my phone during that time, I can’t switch to see the maps, all I see is CarPlay call screen taking the whole screen and the only thing I can do about it is hang up.

It’s completely useless and I’m very disappointed given how expensive this screen is compared to others yet it can’t do the thing that I bought it for.

Where should I mount a Carpodgo screen?

Hi all looking to get a carpodgo for my Alfa Romeo mito. I've got a aux and 12v socket so hoping to connect it via aux and power with usb c 12v socket. Where should I mount it so it's easy to view but don't want it to block the front window.

Mini switching off?

Got my CarPodGo mini a few months back and had only used it for a few 1-2 hour drives and it worked flawlessly. Yesterday, I drove for 5 hours and had a number of restarts, one of which happened at a complicated motorway junction and caused panic.
I don’t know if the unit got hot and shutdown or there was another issue but I’ve started to question reliability. Is there a max time for use? Thanks.

Display-only mode seems to be an often mentioned solution, I don't see how though.

I'm probably doing something wrong, but here's my experience. If my Pixel phone isn't connected to the CarPodGo via bluetooth, for example I connect my phone to the bluetooth adapter with the aux-output and mic, Android Auto does not start. Gemini will not initiate routes, nor play music. I can say "hey google" with my screen off/locked. I get a response from gemini, but it is not an gemini-android-auto session. It asks me to unlock the screen (which doesn't happen when androd auto has been initiated). I unlock the screen. I tell gemini to route me to a destination. It tells me it can't. Again, because android auto isn't running. I've tried different phones, and different bluetooth adapters, and different phone settings like disabling "phone calls" and/or "media handling" in the bluetooth connections specific to the CarPodGo device. Nothing I do will allow hands free android auto to work when in display-only mode because at the most basic level, android auto isn't even running in the background.

Carpodgo Mini very impressed so far !

Got the Carpodgo Mini for my 2017 Corolla didn't wanted to change my OEM display and mounting the display on top of the dash killed the vibe for me so I decided to place it such that its conformable for me to see navigation, control HVAC and still be able to see OEM display for backup camera and other OEM stuff.

So far the experience is pretty good it connects pretty fast and my only nitpicking would be switching who stays connected if other devices has connected before you can or you want to switch. Another thing the light sensor is kinda off for me so I'm rolling with manual settings at least for the night.

T4 plus Screen flickers when turning brightness past 95%

Has anyone else had trouble with the screen flickering when they turn the brightness above 95%. Even weirder, every percentage point past that makes it flicker faster and faster.

mount broke

I think it happened cause of the heat, has this happened to anyone and managed to find a better mount or some sort of solution?

I already have another mount from carpodgo but I dont want to install it just fir this to happen again..

what basically happened is I came back to my car one day and the rubber part was loose from the rest of the mount, ive been driving like that for 2 weeks and it was wobbly, today I tried to somehow seal it again but it instantly broke to the touch..
