Hi! I’m 25 and i live here in carrollton. I work night shift at southwire and I really need friends. It’s hard finding people my age to hang out with, and on top of being openly queer in this town.. it’s a little hard lol. I go to the carrollton rainbow meetups sometimes but there’s rarely people my age, and i’m not super sure of many hangout spots for people like me here in town. I don’t drive atm so going to atlanta is challenging. I love bodies of water (pools, lakes, ocean, etc) and fishing. I also love gardening, halloween, and anime. I’m mostly at home recovering from work tbh but i’m always open and looking for adventures. Any advice or friend requests are welcome lmao

I became a mod in this server along with the admin owners (who are moving away but will still be apart of the server) and we are a semi-active community, trying to gather other like minded people to join the server & make it a bit more active plus also scheduling meetups to gather more people in fun & chill spaces & to bring folks together in community~also, a majority of the members live in the state of georgia (including me) amd some in surrounding areas within the south so even if you live in a different state or country, you can still join [obviously meeting up will be limited for you but if you do have plans to visit or move in the south, that's awesome & maybe we will see you in the next meetup!]

Going through a divorce currently and I only have one friend and he lives all the way in south Carolina, looking for new local friends to hang out with (27 male)

My family just moved to Carrollton in April. Everything has been great except the noise problem that makes us uncomfortable. We live in a neighborhood near the high school. On a daily basis we hear an explosive loud car firing up and driving away. This neighbor lives two blocks away from us. We suspect he might have removed his mufflers. We checked the code of ordinance and car exhaust can be one of the noise violations. Does anyone have suggestions on how to deal with this? Would reporting to the police be anonymous? We are afraid of retaliation but the noise is very distressing.
