Hi, My dad died and I have his phone. A Redmi 15C. I went to his operator to check he pin code and they managed to give me the puk code, so I managed to unlock it... Well that's what I thought, now it asked for another pin code.. I guess the password of the phone ? Even after restarting the phone it asks for that "pin code" and when I try.. I enter wrong ones it says to wait some seconds because phone is locked and to retry again. Please tell me there is some kind of hack crack or wathever that I can do to restore the phone, I do NOT want to wipe all the data, there are precious informations about my dad.. God, why is it so difficult to unlock a phone ? There should be some kind of procedure for this no ??
i apologize if this question is repetitious, i have done a couple hours of research and the general consensus seems to be that its impossible, but i thought i'd throw a hail mary out to reddit just incase i missed something.
i am trying to recover old photos from my past phone but forgot the passcode and didnt have an iCloud backup at the time, however still have access to the icloud account used. These photos are quite important to me and any help or redirects to possible help would be very appreciated. 🙏🏼
I recently bought a ST moto edge 5g (hell of a budget phone btw) from Walmart and foolishly activated with ST thinking that they still did 60 days off consecutive service and the phone is unlocked. It is now a year of service and they'll unlock it! Total BS.
Well I returned it within the 14 day window and bought another ST moto edge and simply did not use the in box Sim or instructions, put a visible esim on it easily, and I'm using right now with great results.
Here's the kicker, my friend was going to buy an A26 Samsung through straight talk on a promotion and I informed him that he can use his spectrum mobile free year of service with the phone if he pops the SIM in before anything straight talk is done to the phone.
Wouldn't you know it? It worked!! Now I'm starting to see a trend here. It seems as long as the service uses Verizon towers almost exclusively, straight talk branded phones can be used elsewhere if you activate it before straight talk sinks their grimey teeth into it.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm considering going back to Walmart and buying a random ST smartphone and using the visible 15 free day trial just to confirm it's not just Samsung and Motorola this works with.
I am not surprised since the SIMs are not inside the phones and ST is a little sloppy with how they do things. I am very happy because Walmart is highly convenient and ST runs consistent promotions on their phones so one can grab them dirt cheap and immediately take them elsewhere.
Compared to ST on the moto edge 2025, visible (the 35 plus plan) is much, MUCH better coverage in my area in central Indiana. I feel like a boss tbh, and I have been very excited to sit down and write this up for reddit. There's really nothing to lose if the other service does not work on a straight talk phone you've purchased as the 14 day window to return with receipt and box is very simple and straightforward in my experience.
Hope I've helped someone out there!! Give this a shot and post if this works for you as well. I am very pleased with the moto edge 2025 on visible and my friend is much happier with spectrum mobile, again, when compared to ST. Let's see if there's a real trend here and straight talk phones are unlocked, or close to it considering the variables involved with the experiences I've documented.
Good luck, and I'm very happy to be on visible again and having only paid $199.99 plus tax for the moto edge 5g 2025; it is what I would consider the ultimate budget phone at the moment.
Again good luck to any who try this because it has worked three times now in my small slice of life. I don't see why it wouldn't, as long as the IMEI checker for the service of your choice says the phone is compatible or the service uses Verizon towers if it doesn't pass the IMEI checker it should work. Any more info on this phenomena is welcome.
I have a small feeling this may not actually be news to anyone very familiar with straight talk but I thought I'd share!
Traveling to the Philippines shortly and I would like to have it unlocked Verizon says they won't unlock it at the moment does anyone know of a reliable legit unlocking site?
So I have a Samsung Galaxy Sol 2 that I want to use on Three UK. Problem is it's locked to Cricket Wireless. It was used from 2017-2021 and then the line was transferred over to Google Fi. That means that they can't verify the tenure and they kept asking me to buy a plan instead so that I can unlock my phone. I wonder if it's worth it?
Do you have an AT&T device which gives you the errors bellow when you attempt to unlock? if yes you are in the right place. we can unlock it for you. Send your unlock request to the Mod include your device IMEI number. requests with no IMEI will not be attend to.
1. USA AT&T iPhone & Generic (Service Active/Sold 60 Days)
2. USA AT&T iPhone & Generic (Active Line/Another Account)
3. AT&T USA - No Longer Active On AT&T Account
I bought an S25+ in France on a market some time ago, I'm in Senegal, when I look for updates the phone tells me that there is no.im still stuck on one ui 8.0.
Operator version is SAOMC_SM-S936U_OYN_GCF_16_0003 GCF/GCF,GCF/XAU/TMB
I feel like I'm under a Tmobile firmware. I would like to know if there is a solution for me to get my updates without changing de csc.
Hi all,
I've updated my Galaxy A24 to Android 16 (One UI 8.0, Binary 5). The "OEM Unlock" toggle has completely disappeared from Developer Options.
Device Details:
Build Number: BP2A.250605.031.A3.A245FXXSBEZB5
Kernel: 6.12.23-android16-5
Is this a permanent restriction for this firmware, or is there a way to re-enable it? I am interested in development/kernel analysis and haven't found any active exploits for this version on XDA yet.
Has the community found any way to bypass this on B5 yet? Thanks for any leads :D
I purchased my device from "See below update" as a new device. I was told i had to have service with visible for 60 days. We had it for 9 months. We ported out the number to COSMO, my daughter is now leavin gon a trip just got her passport, and Visible said, contact verizon.. verizon said contact Tracfone, tracfone said, no it's VIsible that needs to push the unlock, I had it for over the time. This device was purchased in 2024! I was told to message mods, via mod mail and was given this Case# 09836759 my Visible chat, saying they will need to push this through for you.
I have been on phone all day, as of Now it's a Verizon Device Locked To Visible, built by tracfone ??? LOL
Someone help please.. direct me.
She leaves in 6 days.
Update: this was purchased brand new from Best buy in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was purchased at the retail price from them. (2025 November) Had service till 4 months ago. Was ported out to Cosmo,...
Update #2
Visible has deeply looked into this, this was a BYOD device purchased from Best buy. They are saying it was locked onto Visible because the agent at Best Buy lied to my daughter. It was never even locked in the first place!!!
Now we're stuck but, visible is seeing what they can do....
If anything as it was purchased by a third world country aka... best buy...
Don’t know if this is the right sub but my aunt passed unexpectedly on June 24th and it’s been too much. Is there any chance we could access her phone?
It’s a Motorola edge 60
It ask for a pattern not a password
Thanks
Hey everyone! I have a Motorola Edge 2024 locked to Straight Talk and I found a service called DoctorSIM that is offering to unlock it for $19. Before I spend any money I wanted to ask if anyone here has used them before and if they are legitimate.
A few specific questions:
Did the unlock code actually work?
How long did it take to receive the code?
Did they honor their refund policy if it didn't work?
Any experience specifically with Straight Talk locked Motorola phones?
I've already tried going through Straight Talk directly and they want 365 days of active service which is not realistic for me as a secondhand buyer. DoctorSIM seems like my best option right now but $19 is still money I don't want to waste on a scam.
Any advice or experience is appreciated
Hello,
So I was wondering if I could flash my Galaxy firmware software from the regional code, AIO (Cricket Wireless) to XAA (US stock) after unlocking the phone's network?
The device was locked to Cricket and is now unlocked - so I was wondering whether I could flash it to XAA without risking to compromise the unlock?
The phone was previously unlocked but after updating it to the next AIO firmware it got relocked again. That is way I am asking if I could just flash it to XAA (stock US unlock), and prevent AIO updates. But I am not sure if that would affect the network unlock.
If anyone has ever tried it or have experience on the matter, I would really appreciate to hear it.
Thank you!
I want to share my experience to warn others and hopefully prevent them from going through the same situation.
I was trying to unlock the bootloader of my Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Through a Telegram group, I found what appeared to be a legitimate service called NC Unlock, so I contacted the owner.
Initially, everything seemed professional. I was told that my phone could be unlocked remotely using its IMEI numbers. I provided both IMEI numbers as requested. Shortly afterward, I was informed that they could not unlock my device because my IMEIs supposedly were not supported. To support this claim, I was shown a conversation with someone called Maroof Unlocker, who allegedly could perform a one-time bootloader unlock for approximately USD 195.
Believing this to be a legitimate solution, I paid the requested amount. After receiving the payment, the owner of NC Unlock completely disappeared and stopped responding to my messages.
Unexpectedly, I was then contacted directly by Maroof Unlocker on Telegram. He accused me of being associated with NC Unlock, claiming that I had scammed him over multiple devices. I immediately explained that I had never dealt with him before and that I was actually the customer who had already lost USD 195 to NC Unlock.
The following day, after discussing the situation, we reached what I believed was a reasonable agreement. Since I had already lost money, Maroof Unlocker agreed that I could pay USD 90 upfront and settle the remaining balance after the unlock was completed.
Unfortunately, after I sent the payment, the same pattern repeated itself. Communication became extremely slow and inconsistent. Although I was initially told that the server would complete the process within approximately 30 minutes, nothing happened. I spent the entire day trying to contact him without receiving any meaningful updates. Later, I was told he had been involved in an accident, but no progress was made.
Several days later, instead of completing the service, he stated that he no longer trusted me and said he would simply refund my payment and asked me to leave. As of today, I have not received any refund.
It is also worth mentioning that both payments were made in Bitcoin, as neither party accepted PayPal or any payment method offering buyer protection.
Finally, I have received messages from Maroof Unlocker threatening to place my IMEI numbers on a blacklist so that my device allegedly cannot be unlocked in the future. Whether or not this threat is technically possible, I consider such behavior completely unacceptable.
I encourage everyone to exercise extreme caution when dealing with these Telegram-based unlocking services. My experience resulted in financial loss, broken promises, and repeated communication issues.
I will also publish the Telegram usernames so others can make their own informed decisions.
Be careful and always use payment methods that provide buyer protection whenever possible.
PS, i will PAY but now afterwards no more in advance payment!!!!!
Hello, Im wondering if someone can help me in unlocking my phone. It is currently locked to the Tmobile network, and despite being fully paid off and several requests to unlock it, it has just never happened. Whats worse is the phone, despite being mine, was under my ex husband’s account, and I no longer have his PIN/ don’t want to get into the whole process. The last time I called in May because I was travelling out of the country and wanted to be able to use other SIMS, provided all details, the representatives said the unlock was in process, and it still never happened. Its so frustrating and I don’t have plans to buy another phone any time soon. Thanks so much to anyone who can assist.
I got service with Verizon about 3 months ago and now they are slapping me with all kinds of fees I can't afford and my phone bill has nearly doubled what the estimated cost was per month and I just can't afford it. I still have service for now but prob not long. Any way to unlock it so I can put it on meteo or another prepaid service. I'll pay but I can't afford much. Any help.would be greatly appreciated, if I lose phone service I'm screwed I have no internet at home and live nowhere near anywhere with free wifi.
I have a small TTfone 'TT150' that is currently locked to Libera/O2, I would like to unlock it to put my Vodafone sim in it, can someone help, please? I have the IMEI number written down and ready.
I have a work phone that was forgotten about from my employer. It’s been more than a month and I’m looking to remove the work security and eSIM and add my personal number to make it my personal phone. The phone is already the same provider but the phone is under work restriction. It’s a newer IPHONE and is newest IOS update.
But I really want/need a new phone. Is there a way to hard software remove the work hardware. It’s a AI company so I’m guessing the security is higher end.
My personal phone is broken bad and my work phone is so new! I would hate for this to go to waste. If anyone has an idea to help me unlock or remove their security or hardware.
It’s to the level that the lock screen says “property of” or limitation of apps you can download.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928U1) on Amazon, locked to Claro Puerto Rico (CSC: PCT). I'm not the original owner, so I can't get help directly from Claro since they ask for original account info.
I've tried 2 paid unlock services (UnlockBase and TheUnlockCompany). Both failed to deliver a working code; they simply never produced one.
Has anyone successfully unlocked this specific model/carrier combo?
Thanks.

Gracias.
