Logs Dropped! CT
I found a branch in the pile and it appears to be maple 🍁 leaves.
The arborist dropping off the wood called ahead and was very courteous. I didn't even expect them to pile the logs like this, so it's really nice.

This went so much better than I could have imagined! I got the email too expect a delivery. I called the Arborist and asked what to expect and he said Red Oak, and can I take bigger stuff and there is quite a bit. I said sure thing. The biggest diameter is over 40". I cleared away a smaller load and then he brought more. This is amazing! I will have enough here for the winter after next and into the next one after that. I definitely have my work cut out for me... pun intended.
Delivered yesterday
UPDATE: Since several of you are telling me this isn't anywhere close to 25 yards... these chips were delivered via two dual-axle dump trucks, each of which then topped-off full holds 16 yards of mulch/chips. I watched both trucks dump onto the driveway. So I'm quite confident this is a reasonable 25 yards.
I ordered a chipdrop and the first arborist charged me then never delivered. Refunding by Chipdrop was easy and I quickly placed another order. Two days later, a drop showed up. It wasn't dumped in the exact location I requested (with pictures), but for the $20 I spent I'm overjoyed. Nice mixture of pine, maple, magnolia, and cedar. I've found some already decomposing leaf litter in the pile as well. Really impressed with this service. Photos of my drop. My JackChi puppy, Molly, and the golf net set up in our yard for size reference. I have no idea how much I actually received but it's going to keep me busy for quite awhile.
I have used hem for my gardens and it doesn’t even look like I have touched this giant pile. What else can I use these for? I tried creating new beds with brown paper underneath and weeds are just growing through, so I worry about making more beds with them. Thanks!
