It worked fine last night, but this morning it opens for a split second and then closes

Any advice please for a good alternative

I watch a lot of movies there and I notice Yoru provides mostly 4K so I want to know if there are any others that have the same or similar quality/features

We know they didn't host media, they just took it from providers, like vidsrc, any idea what cinbey used? it was such high quality and lag free, or possibly alternatives that use the same iframe provider? i tried snooping in the HTML and JS, either they dont use one, or they hide it so well.

i'm just wondering if there's any alternatives to Cineby that i can still watch the Avatar Aang movie and the Umamusume shows for free on.

How can avengers doomsday is showing in cineby! Though it’s unplayable right now but it’s showing in top 2 recommendations.

I really enjoyed the UI if I’m to be honest, I could get a little bit over the ads knowing that the cleanliness made up for it, but this shut down seems scheduled, so it can’t be legal right? I’m not sure. Did server costs get too high? I feel like they had a good deal of ads to get rid of that concern.

i found out about cineby on 6th aug and now finding out its going to be shut down, same with comick i happened to find comick and within the same month it was shut down, i think it might be my bad luck yall are suffering 😭

I've been using cineby since august 2025 and a year later cineby is shutting down. THE UNIVERSE TAKING AWAY WHAT I LOVE as usual

Just found this site called cinejoy. Looks and works basically the same as Cineby and no ads (so far). I’m about to watch at least A movie on it before I got to bed, if I remember I’ll edit this in the morning and tell yall how good it actually works.

Edit: worked great! Very few buffers, no skipping, no ads, full screen worked, decent ui, website wasn’t too choppy, and it even keeps your place when you close out of the movie. Def recommend, tho someone did say cinejoy is owned by Cineby and might shut down when it does, but I’m pretty sure it’s either not or uses a different source or something cause it’s not totally fucking balked like the other Cineby sites are rn

so i tried to watch rick and morty but when i tried to watch it it just wouldnt play. i go to the main website and i cant watch anything there, and then i see this in the bottom right of the corner.

Cineby is shutting down

Cineby and all related services will cease operations on August 26th. It's been a good run, but the time has come to stop.

The site will remain available until then. You may experience instability during this period, and we will not provide support for any issues that arise.

After August 26th, the site will be permanently deactivated. All servers will be shut down, and every user account will be deleted.

I have been to many movie sites but cineby had the best user experience thank you and rest in peace.

Now before i ask i just want to commend the creators of this site for making such a great site with a vast large library compared to the other piracy sites, it was one of the most popular sites of its time for a reason. But why shut it all down? Legal issues? Something else?
