Resin breakdown

I’ve been wearing my ring full time after receiving it, and have only had minor issues at the beginning. Readings have seemed reasonably accurate and as expected and the latest app is a great improvement. Recently I noticed that the inner resin seemed to be bulging at one point, and after the last charge when I put it back on a piece of the resin broke away. I’ve contacted Circular via Kira to ask about a replacement. After identifying my order details and viewing a photo of the problem Kira advised that the matter would be passed to a real person to decide if I was eligible for a replacement. I was to be notified by email, but have yet to hear back. I’m wondering if anyone has received a replacement after the resin broke down and if so how long they had to wait.

What has happened to my ring? It suddenly dies on me and looking closer at it, it has massive corrosion and has burns in part

Has this happened to anyone?

It all of a sudden just stopped working, and then upon a closer inspection it has what looks like a burn in the top of it and the bottom sensors have corroded and burnt out the ring around it? It also feels as if the silver sensors on the bottom are bulging out more, as i can feel them scraping against the back of my finger now., How can this happen its not even a year old?

Has anyone experienced the same thing? How do i contact them?

Amazing, I received my replacement ring!

History:

4-SEP-2025: Received my original ring

27-NOV-2025: After updating the Firmware, my ring became unresponsive after the next charge

Between November 2025 and April 2026 I Interacted with their customer service team with over a dozen emails... running tests (extended power off, reinstall the iOS app, LightBlue testing, sending photos/videos, etc...).

14-APR-2026: Circular agrees to a return
24-APR-2026: Shipping label received via email
24-APR-2026: Ring returned
27-APR-2026: My original ring arrives in RICHMOND, TX

Many email interactions asking for the status of the replacement...

8-AUG-2026: My replacement ring arrives!!!

Comments:

The Circular app couldn't initial find/discover the new ring even though it was fully charged!
Only after I first connected to the ring with the LightBlue Bluetooth testing app did the Circular app then find it.

I've had the new ring for four days now...it seems to be working fine, except:

My old ring would never detect "Sleep start" correctly...it would always be hours delayed. This still doesn't work with the new ring: I typically go to bed/sleep at around 10:30 PM...the new ring has so far reported the following Sleep start times of: 3:09, 1:14, 1:55, 2:31 AM

You would think that this would have been fixed by now after having 9 more months to work on it.
Note: I had a OURA ring for years and it would always detect sleep correctly.

Well...I'm glad that I have a (somewhat) working ring...hopefully their team will fix my sleep issue.

For those still waiting for a replacement... I hope that yours arrives soon!

[Circular Update] What's Coming Next

Hi everyone,

Today we'd like to share a look at what's coming next for Circular.

Over the past year, much of our work has focused on improving the foundation of the platform: stability, synchronization, connectivity, and overall reliability. That work is allowing us to move into the next phase, bringing more advanced health features and a better overall experience.

Sleep Algorithm V3

We've developed a completely new sleep algorithm trained on more than 800 polysomnography (PSG) recordings, the clinical gold standard for sleep studies.

In our internal testing, it reaches approximately 78% agreement with PSG for sleep staging while significantly improving detection of more complex and atypical sleep patterns that were challenging for previous models.

A validation study is currently underway, and we expect to submit it for publication in the coming months.

ECG & Heart Rhythm

We're also introducing major ECG improvements, which are essential for supporting more accurate Blood Pressure Monitoring.

This includes cleaner ECG signals with significantly reduced noise, improved AFib detection, and additional clinical metrics such as PR interval, QRS duration, and QT/QTc intervals available in the downloadable PDF report

We're also expanding rhythm categorization beyond AFib, with support for additional rhythm classifications planned where regulatory approvals allow.

A validation study for these ECG improvements is also in progress.

Blood Pressure

Blood Pressure is getting closer. We are now testing the feature in a development environment on the app.

The rollout will happen in two stages:

  • A free version available to all Circular users, including systolic and diastolic readings and full history.
  • A premium version released later, with trend analysis, report exports, and target range insights.

Blood Pressure measurements will require an initial calibration using a standard cuff and a monthly recalibration to maintain accuracy.

A Redesigned App

Nearly every Circle inside the app has now been redesigned to create a cleaner and more intuitive experience.

Sport Session is the final area still being redesigned and will be the next to receive the updated interface.

More Reliable Connectivity

The latest firmware also introduces major Bluetooth improvements.

We've addressed the root causes behind intermittent disconnections, resulting in a more reliable connection between your ring and your phone across both Android and iPhone.

Looking Ahead

These improvements represent much more than individual features.

Throughout 2026 we've been investing heavily in the technical foundations that make all of this possible. As those pieces come together, we're able to deliver more advanced health insights while continuing to improve reliability and performance across the entire Circular ecosystem.

Thank you for your continued feedback, patience, and trust. Your input continues to shape the future of Circular, and we're excited to share the next chapter with you.

116 Days.

Received this today after 28 days of silence on the ticket. If it goes the full 45 days or more then I will have been near enough 6 months without a ring.
