The juxtaposition of the two completely different vibes never fails to get at least a chuckle out of me 🤣
My family and I (wife and two small kids) moved here last October. Our home is situated on the main entrance street to our neighborhood, which wouldnt bother me except that people drive insanely fast down the road, frequently its "people" with insanely loud exhaust set-ups on their motorcycles or trucks. They are so loud that it will wake my 1.5 year old up screaming and even wake-up my 5 year old. The actual noise ordinance says motor vehicle sounds 95 db (apparently the same volume as a power drill or jack hammer at a distance) and above is a class C misdemeanor, so these "people" are definitely in violation.
My question is, how on earth can I get this enforced? Im sick of hearing motorcycles roaring (at at least 50mph) down my street at 7 and 8pm. Will CPD even bother? Do i just set up spike strips like in a cartoon?
Posting to spread the word. I am not affiliated with them.
So I was talking to my redneck friend. I had to use an interpreter to understand his his 6th grade backwoods English. He was telling me that coal rolling is a sign of solidarity with LGBT. In fact, most of the guys who do it are are in the closet. Why else would they have such pent up insecurities?.
This helps me to take on a New perspective about something that seemed pretty lame and smells like years of incest but actually is another way of saying, "Coal roll or bed roll, I'm always bottom rolling". Shakespeare would be proud.
Celebrating one of my Birthdays at MGM GRAND in Vegas @ Tom Colicchio's ( of tv show Top Chef) Craftsteak steakhouse restaurant 👍🏾 Worth ever penny
I recently went to Mathnasium and they wanted about $700 a month for group lessons for two kids, 2x a week. Is this comparable rate for tutoring lessons? Are there any tutoring recommendations anyone can offer?
Mainly looking for a good church that has younger adults and not a lot of the older crowd like I've been seeing and hearing. I'm talking 20s to 30s. We have a lot of churches here, so I know there is probably some solid options
Did the tour of Old Glory Distillery on my Birthday after it I tried the great food & had the Moonshine Flight it’s 5 star must try great fun 👍🏾
Anyone been to Regal on Trenton/Tiny Town recently in this hot weather? How's the theaters' temps? My house barely keeps up and I dont want to go to pay and sit in a hot box
I’ve been looking for work for four years, and nothing seems to work out. My husband is the only one supporting our family financially, and we’re a family of eight. It’s been incredibly difficult.
Hey y'all! New homebuyer and ignorant to the permitting process (Montgomery county, outside city limits, single family home, homeowner/DIY permits)
I'm doing some electrical work and been calling the building and codes office for questions and ending up concluding that I need an electrical permit for several things and purchased one rough-in inspection and one final inspection for electrical work done in a few rooms in one area (all apart of one project you could argue).
❓I know I will be doing electrical work all throughout the year depending on project timing and different factors, yet I can only pull 1 electrical permit a year. So I'm a bit confused by that.
I also contacted them to pull records of permits pulled on this property in the last 7 years (I know for a fact we had contractors do work that would have required permits, and I'm 90% positive the previous homeowner didn't follow anything by the book..). They told me there has been no permits pulled in that past 7 years (it also was like pulling teeth to have them directly respond to my question).
The companies we hired we're both large, nation-wide companies (full plumbing pipe replacement and water heater replacement) as well as local contractors (electrical re-wiring and exhaust fan installation). It seems none of them pulled permits and they never mentioned anything about permits.
❓Would they just not be on record for me to see or know about?
❓If they should be on the record, is this normal? Do I need to report this and have the companies/contractors pull and pay for permits?
I'm now waiting for a rough-in inspection for the electrical work I did/am doing, most of our house with walls torn down, not knowing when they will get back to me or when i can continue the projects.
❗️If anyone can help shed light on this permitting process, that would be extremely appreciated.

Clarksville tattoo artist recommendations needed!
I’m looking for an amazing tattoo artist in or around Clarksville, TN who could bring a piece like this to life. 🖤
I’m wanting a larger thigh piece inspired by romantasy and featuring:
My three cats, realistically based on photos
Books / reading elements
An ornate fantasy sword
Crescent moon + celestial details
Florals and greenery
A magical, whimsical romantasy feel
I’d love someone who is especially talented with realistic animals, fine details, florals, and fantasy-style work. I’m totally okay with the artist putting their own spin on the design—I mainly want someone who can combine all of these elements into one beautiful, cohesive piece.
Who would you trust with something like this? Please drop artist/shop names, Instagram pages, or photos of work you’ve had done! Bonus points if you’ve personally been tattooed by them. 🖤✨
Inspo photo attached!
I recently got a hair cut at the Camelon salon. Normally I have an amazing experience there. However, this time not so much. I left with curled hair so I didn’t notice at first, but my layers for my hair are insanely choppy and uneven. I am so disappointed and sad. The stylist who did my hair is not going to be there after awhile. I don’t feel like causing an issue or talking to the manager. It’s not who I am so please don’t suggest it. I simply want a new stylist that knows how to cut natural looking layers. Thank you!
My husband is currently stationed at fort Campbell. We’ve been together for 10 years, married for 6. We have 4 children. I go to school full time, I graduate in a few months, and have stayed home with our children since their births. This year all 4 will be in school, and I have a part time job lined up during the week. We’ve accumulated some credit card debt and have a car loan. We’ve agreed to separate and I don’t want to leave him all of the debt plus child support but I know I can’t afford both. He has orders to Hawaii for next June and me and the children will not be going with him. I can move back home to Ohio and stay with my parents until I can afford a place on my own. For the most part it’s been very amicable. But he’s a habitual cheater and helps with none of the parenting. Sounds terrible to admit but life truly is more peaceful when he’s gone. I can see the difference in my children. I offered to make the trip once or twice a year so he can see them but he doesnt have any intentions on fighting me for any custody or placement. My issue is, I have no income and terrible credit so how else am I to get a lawyer? Unfortunately we do live on the KY side of post, I’m not even sure that fully matters depending on where I can file. But I would like to start this process and see what my options are.
Im looking to get a pedicure this weekend and was wondering if anyone has a nail salon they love and recommend. Im not getting anything fancy, just painting my toes. I just don't want to end up with foot fungus because I go somewhere I didn't know has bad disinfecting practices
Anyone have passion fruit vine growing that I can dig some roots from? I tried propagating a cutting but it’s not working out.
