Making the move from Toronto to Collingwood. Looking for a 1-2 bedroom. Single, no kids.

I’ve looked at Silvercreek Apartments. As I walked into the shops, ppl seemed to have recommendations of buildings to look at, so I Just thought I’d check if anyone has recommended buildings to check out.

- apartment, condo, townhouse are all fine
- I’m late thirties if that makes a difference

Amenities wish list:

- aircon
- indoor parking
- balcony
- gym

- is pool a reasonable thing to look for ?

What are some good streets/neighbourhoods vs ones we should completely avoid due to how the neighborhood is or the poor build quality.

Having a bachelor party for my friend next weekend and we are looking to find a high quality course in the area.

We already booked Batteux creek for our Saturday round but trying to find another course to play on Sunday!

Wondering if anyone remembers an old ski instructor that I had around 2010 ish when I was like 8 or 9 years old. We were in a group for a couple days and he'd take us all around the resort, every staff member and random people walking by knew him and he'd always be greeted everywhere he went. I really have a vague memory of him since it was so long ago, but all I remember is he had a beard, kinda looked like Jack Black, and everyone loved him. I don't live in Collingwood so I only come down every so often to ski at blue mountain, but I just randomly had some memories of this guy and wanted to see if I could figure out who it was!

Hi there! My husband and I are planning to move to collingwood from a small town 3 hours away in October/November. We have 4 children between the ages of 4-11. We haven’t secured a place just yet, we will be renting. Just looking for some general info. things that you love/recommend. We’re currently through the Catholic school board, how are they for speech/development support? Do you have any tips on what/where we should avoid?
