UAE Relocation Calculator - A calculator that tells you if a UAE job offer is actually worth it (free to use)

My friend built a free calculator to answer the question everyone asks here daily before moving to UAE: is the salary actually worth it?

Enter your current salary (34 countries supported), pick your city and lifestyle, and it shows you:

Your real take-home after home-country tax vs UAE’s 0%
• Exact monthly expenses for Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah
• A Worth-It Score (0–100)
• The minimum AED salary you need to actually come out ahead
• 5-year wealth projection: stay home vs move

Every expense line is editable :- change the rent, school fees, food to match your real situation. The score updates instantly.

Shares as a URL/PDF so you can send it to your partner or recruiter in one click.

No sign-up. Free.

Would love feedback from people who’ve actually made the move - are the expense numbers realistic for your situation?

Happy to answer questions on the methodology if anything looks off.

Incoming first year CS student at UofC this fall

Hey,

Im joining UofC this fall as a computer science student. Im a bit concerned because with AI becoming better and better and replacing a ton of jobs, is computer science even worth it as a degree or am I just wasting my time learning something that will only be replaced by AI in a few years?

Im also debating between whether I should switch to Software Engineering after my first year but im not really sure what is the difference between both of the programs and which one would be more beneficial in helping me land jobs, internships, etc. Again, is there any point in pursuing the tech route with AI becoming so prevalent in today's day and age?

Also if I were to stick with computer science, is it possible to land any good internships? Or can I only achieve the really top companies by having a software engineering degree

What do yall think? Id rlly appreciate any advice, tips, and experience that anyone can provide. Im feeling super lost rn

Thanks

Qué fue lo más difícil para encontrar empleo después de graduarse de ingeniería?

Estudias , te gradúas, buscas llegar al trabajo de tus sueños en ingeniería en alguna Big Tech, pero ¿que se interpone? Experiencia, contactos, skills ?
