Contract with Anapilis (Screenshots)

It is I. The guy who painstakingly spent a week of extra time to hit Chapter 15 to get sweet sweet Anapilis. :3

The way she talks in this Contract Signing is really sweet.

Also, it got me thinking. Not only are we having a conversation with the literal embodiment of a world, but we're signing her in as a member of our company.

Also she's literally learning about this world through the internet. Dam we're making her into an internet junkie.

SHE MUST NOT KNOW ABOUT REDDIT!!!

Kidding.

Did you guys feel the same? 😁✨

CounterSide Story Viewer update

The story reader

The character viewer

(Someone on arca also made a video showing off the voices https://arca.live/b/breaking/170855021 )

Hey, I just wanted to post an update on the story viewer. Implemented:
- Offline support for Android, Windows, Linux, Mac.
- The story reader has: animated characters, animated and static backgrounds, music, voices where possible.
- The character viewer expanded to include: login screens, battle sprites, emotes, etc.
- MTLs for a few KR-only CounterCases.

I got some questions here and on Arca re: datamining. The text decrypt script is linked in the roadmap; the rest seems to be well understood.

New Player Awakened Priority

Hi everyone,

I just started and got Eve Meitner and was wondering what the priority following her would be from that banner?

Would I pick ecclesia next for a good frontline tank?

I’m not familiar with the meta yet or what the endgame is to be able to tell from their kits if they’re worth or not and would like some suggestion on maybe the next 4/5 units worth pulling for

Thank you

Still worth for new player?

Thinking of starting this game. Is it still worth to play even though its not been performing well recently compared to other gachas?

Discussing about CS and SS half ani

Not gonna lie? I lost faith on the company after the half ani. The once unique thing about them being making CounterSide a grim and actual in depth and touching stories. NOW? They making Clothes off fan service and make it as like adding SnowBreak/LostSword fan service into the pot of porridge that they calls SS. I already move on but seeing this HURTS. They lost their identity and became just a cog in the machine.

Some light sketch of Han Sorim

I forgot the name about her illness, it's something like an issue about her physical strength.

Fanart

Some Counterside stuff I've been drawing for the past weeks. Lyud one is unfinished since I'm planing to draw the whole Maze gang in beachwear.

[Discussion] Counter:Side became my low-stress routine during my dad's rehab and I had to relearn how I play

Not sure if anyone else uses Counter:Side like this, but lately it has become a tiny daily anchor for me.

My dad had a sudden stroke a while back, and I have been bouncing between home, rehab, and a lot of waiting rooms. I used to play pretty intensely, tracking every timer and squeezing max value out of everything. That approach just added stress, so I rebuilt how I play.

Now my loop is simple: log in, grab mail, run a couple autos, knock out the bare minimum dailies, then spend a few minutes organizing squads and sorting gear. The weird part is that the gear sorting and small squad tweaks are the most calming. It feels like putting little things in order when everything else is chaotic.

Where it bites me is PvP and some endgame fights. My old habit was to brute force with whatever was top tier, and now I am deliberately keeping a smaller roster that I actually understand. It feels better, but progression is slower and I hit a wall more often.

For people who have played longer, what do you do when you want to keep the game low stress but still make forward progress? Do you focus on one team core and expand slowly, or maintain a wider bench for counters? Any tips for keeping gear management from becoming a time sink without turning it into a spreadsheet job?

I know gacha games build in FOMO, but I want this to be a comfort game, not another source of pressure. Any advice or routines that worked for you would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Seeing about the situation of Studiobside

I suppose that they are betting everything on a new project.

StarSavior was launched recently globally, I liked the game, but I can clearly see that the situation is not going well.

The game was launched as a big mess, you can barely progress in the game, there's almost nothing to do except the dailies, the PvP was bad and now it's practically death and the Journey mode, the bigger selling point, it's waste potential.

Counter:Side was launched on February 4, 2020, it has been 6 years for the game, I don't think that StarSavior will manage to live half of it.

I heard rumors about them working on a new game, but now it's going to be a kind of do or die situation.

I don't think that they have enough funds to go against the CN Gachas games, I think that they will probably even have difficulty making a game better graphic wise than StarSavior.

I don't think that betting on a PvP focus game would be a good idea, seeing how oversaturated the gacha game is becoming.

StarSavior situation will be decided with the half-anniversary Livestream, the devs barely communicate with the fanbase anymore, they completely screwed up the KR/JP launch with tons of bugs and lack of optimization, which even the Global version got.

Although Counter:Side didn't EoS yet, by being put in maintenance mode, I think that they lost a lot of goodwill of the community.

Their next announcements will pretty much decide the future of the company.

Swan snapping is honestly one of the funniest things I've ever encountered in an overly-dramatic storyline

Swan always portrays herself as this elegant, graceful, cold, manipulative and calculating complex villain. Even when in the face of being killed by Thagirion at the end of her arc, she remains stoic and unbothered.

But all it takes is some brutal facts from her past self, and she loses her composure and gets uncharacteristically angry (for the FIRST TIME).

In the end, we all thought her true motivation is to just bring back her original home world and reunite with Abberline, but in true CounterSide fashion plot-twist, she abandoned that a long time ago, that was NOT her true intention all along, it was merely an illusionary distraction to delay the MCs as she already knows that a world that was previously destroyed can no longer be brought back, her true motivation is purely 100% selfish revenge-driven - to kill Thagirion, the Demon Lord that destroyed her home world. Nothing more, nothing less. Of course, we all know what happens when you cross a Demon Lord who is SO unbelievably disturbing and unsettling that even the likes of Tammiel, Edel, Serapel, and Rosaria pales in comparison.

So it makes sense that the only one that can push Swan's buttons to distract her from her true goal is.... fittingly - HERSELF. And those REACTIONS from Mina and her past self in that scene was just utter priceless!
