After 4 months of work, my open-source DIY 3D navigation controller is finally released

Hi Makers,

https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/hackman3d-orbit-controller

Want to see it in action?

Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaLhk9gP-Sw/?igsh=MTNhdXZ2OHo0b3Z3cw%3D%3D

Youtube : https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rWjuSqC4tPc

After four months of work, I'm finally ready to share my Hackman3D Orbit Controller with everyone.

This is by far the biggest project I've ever worked on. I spent countless hours designing, prototyping, printing, assembling, testing, rewriting the firmware, and writing the documentation. My goal was simple: make a DIY 3D navigation controller that is affordable, reliable, and as easy to build as possible.

I've been using this controller as my daily CAD controller for the past two months, and I now feel confident enough to release it.

That said, this is only the beginning.

The assembly guide and documentation will continue to improve based on your feedback. If something isn't clear, if you find a mistake, or if you have ideas to simplify the build, please let me know. I'll do my best to answer every question and update the guides whenever needed.

This project is completely open source, so I also encourage everyone to modify it, improve it, remix it, or adapt it to their own needs. If you make something better, I'd genuinely love to see it.

I hope this project helps more people discover 3D navigation without spending hundreds of dollars.

Have fun building it, and thank you to everyone who supported this project over the last four months. 🚀

Creality Cloud - 3D Printing app for iOS 7.3.12

The new app logged me out of my account and I can’t log back in with my email address or password. The app states the account doesn’t exist.

Anyone else having issues with this new iOS app update?

My drink mix dispenser

This is my Drink Mix Packed Dispenser with display windows. My brother was looking for one, and couldn't find a free STL, so I designed this one up. It's the version 2.0 (version 1 was nixed, though the pics of it are still up on the original posting). One of the lovely people who printed this up shared their image, and now I'm sharing it as well!

Compact Rear Poop Bin with Slide-In Design for Creality K2

Hi makers!

https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/k2-rear-poop-bin-compact-magnetic-system

I designed this compact rear poop bin for the Creality K2 series for users who don't need a full poop chute system.

The system consists of two parts:

A base that mounts to the rear of the printer using the existing screws.

An optional pair of 8×2 mm magnets can be added to the base for extra stability.

The poop bin simply slides onto two printed tabs, making it quick to remove and empty.

- Uses the original mounting screws

- Optional 8×2 mm magnets

- Compact design with minimal rear clearance

- Easy to remove and empty

I'd love to hear your feedback or suggestions!

Censored brand name list?

Hello. I was helping a user with some question, in which I mentioned several brand name of filaments. One of the brand names that rhymes with Igloo was censored by CC in my reply.

Has anyone else experienced this? So we have a name of "prohibited brand names" in CC posts?

Finally released my modular SKÅDIS side panel for the Creality K2!

Hi Makers,

https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/creality-k2-side-skadis-panel

After quite a few requests, I finally finished and uploaded my side-mounted SKÅDIS panel for the Creality K2.

It gives you a clean and modular way to keep your most-used tools right next to the printer without taking up extra desk space.

Features:

  • 240 × 240 mm SKÅDIS-compatible panel
  • Fits on both the left and right side of the K2
  • Uses only 8x M3x8 screws and 4 printed mounting pins
  • Compatible with my K2/CFS legs
  • If installed on the right side, it may partially block access to the USB port.

I'd love to see your setups, so feel free to share pictures if you print one!

What to choose?

Thinking about getting another Creality 3D printer as I had send back the Flashforge as nothing connected.

Hated using my laptop for slicing, prefer the actual Creality Cloud for slicing as I had no issues using this slicer on my Ender V3 KE.

Anyway, I quite liked the enclosure of the Flashforge and the silence when printing models, as it's mainly for hobby use, myself and my kids like painting them.

I only use PLA and I've seen machines with multiple spools to use different colours with, though this isn't important as we paint the models but sounds pretty awesome and my Predator figurines may benefit from this.

I've seen the K1 and K2 but obviously the price differs.

So, I'm looking for a machine that is enclosed and have the ability to get upgrades easily, budget is probably around £300/£350 and hopefully not many problems like my Ender V3, and where to buy them as I've seen good prices on the likes of Ebay ect

Keep winning GBs of storage in the Raffle. What are those good for?

See the title. The past 4 times I got GBs of storage that expire, and one "Thank you". Frankly I don't know the difference between the thank you and the GBs.
