Creek Redbreasts
Fun morning on the creek! These little guys were very aggressive, crushing the Betts popper and the Creek Life Moss Dweller. Looking like they’re close to spawning!
Reedy Creek fishing
Just joined the sub! Nice to meet everyone. Caught these today using a black 7 gram Joe's Flies lure and a black and red Rebel craw crankbait.
Weight estimate?
This is the biggest bass I’ve ever caught as I pretty much only fish with ultralight gear. It was a long hard fight (and lots of praying) landing this bass without my rod or line breaking. I had no idea they could even get this big in this small of streams. At first I thought I had snagged a log. Lol.
I took a picture with it against my body and then measured at home and it was roughly 19-20 inches.
Is this a spotted bass?
Caught in a shallow creek on a Okuma Celilo ultralight rod paired with size 25 Pflueger president spooled with 4 lb mono using a 1.5 inch Creme crawfish crank bait.
I'll gladly catch a Creek Chub. Anytime. Anywhere. 🤣
Dropped my youngest at camp…
Hit a park with a creek with my Mepps and bingo!
New to Creeks
Hey y'all, I've fished ponds and large lakes all my life here in East Texas, and I've decided to try out creek fishing since there is one 5 minutes down the road from me compared to a small high pressured lake nearby. What is a big difference between creek fishing and lake fishing? Any advice?
