It’s been a while since I got the ole girl out and for whatever reason I don’t remember the shifter sounding like this. It only makes the sound in neutral when you wiggle the stick to the left side in the play zone before you put any pressure on it to make it go farther to shift into 1st. It sounds like the shift rod is contacting right at the base on the shifter. Sounds like metal on metal. I have not taken the console panels off yet to really look, just trying to see if I even need to investigate or is it just normal good to go.

Just got some new wheels. And while they are dirty, as well as the car, I’m really enjoying the new look!

Currently my car is stored in NJ and am planning to move it to VA.

I'm looking for a shop that can work on the car (pre-rallly and post-rally prep) and also any damages that happen during the rally.

In addition to that, be able to spare 2-3 people during the rally week. Usually Wed-Sunday. This will be a paid gig and Lodging and food will be covered.

Any leads?

I found a hatch and a tsi wing for sale but the guy doesn’t have a price on it. What are these actually worth?

With the recent rebuild I added an oil pressure gauge to Monitor Said pressure while driving.

From my first few testdrives I have to say that the pressure seemes quite High.

In the video you can See the pressure about 2 to 3 minutes after starting the Car.

Once its warmed Up (oi temp at 95°C / 203°F) the pressure Drops to a little over 1 bar / 14.5 psi at idle and around 4 to 5 bar / 58 to 72 psi under normal driving load.

At wide open throttle it gose all the way to 7 bar / 101 psi which seemes way to much.

Is that to much or am I Just paranoid?

Curently I use a 10W-40 oil, but have orderd 10W-30 to try if it reduced the pressure a Bit.

The pressure sensor is located at the oil filter housing after the filter.

The balance shafts have been deleted on this enginen due to a defekt of the baring surface on the engine block side on one of them.

Can’t lie tho the stocks held it down for a while over 500whp! Just impatiently waiting for parts that are on back order hopefully she’s back on the road soon 🤞

Hey guys, thanks in advance for your help. I just bought my first car and it’s this dsm eclipse 2G with a non turbo 4G63. My question is: when i try to reverse shift, the shift is blocked for some reason. Everytime when i shift normally from neutral or any shift to reverse. The thing is, when i do a “double wiggle” to reverse it always work. Is there any kind of lock on reverse shift to prevent mistakes?

I just picked up a 97 eclipse gs that has an added turbo. It’s currently in a crank no start situation, I found out that the wiring for the cam and crank sensor was messed up and had positive outputs in all cam and crank connector wires, so I rewired both of the sensors. Now the sensors read the cam and crank position but it won’t start. I used a multi meter and measured the power wire with first nothing plugged in and it read 8.45V, with only the cam sensor it reads 5.95, with only the crank it reads 5.45V and with both it reads 3.78V.

I’m trying to figure out it the issue in in the sensors, wiring, or the pcm not being able to supply the correct amount of power and being fed 13 V before?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Shes getting repainted all black with no gray in 6 weeks. Goin gloss black. Should I do all gloss black or do the mirrors and spoiler in semi gloss? Also im getting all black wheels. Should I do glass black or matte black wheels?

Anybody know of any cool DSM or Mitsu horn buttons that fit?
