Thoughts on the Sanderson Sisters

Played the game twice with them and I have one thing to say to Ravensburger

DID YOU EVEN TEST THIS VILLAIN!?

To me they sacrificed playability/fun for theme and even then they fumbled on that.

What do you all think? Am I just approaching them wrong or is anyone else struggling with them?

Can anyone get the new expansions at Target today?

I walked into a Target this morning trying to get the new expansions, and they said it wasn’t available there or any nearby Targets despite the July 5 release date. They said I could order it to ship which arrives between July 8-13, which is annoying given that it had a release date of today.

Has anyone found it on a shelf?

Treacherous Tides clearance

I know everyone's talking about the new releases. However, I scored treacherous tides from Target on clearance since they're making room for the new expansions. It cost me $9.99 and they even had one copy of the exclusive edition.

First Impressions for 3 New Villains

Ernesto De La Cruz - Amazing. Very thematic, very unique, and very fun to play as. He can win crazy fast if not fated quickly and frequently.

Hans - Better than I expected. I think he has way too many steps to be able to win quickly, and his fate deck is also really cumbersome. But if you get card draw lucky you can be in good shape. Also why does he have no quote?!?!?

Sanderson Sisters - Hugely disappointed. They are insanely cumbersome to play as, complicated without being fun. They have too many restrictions to be viable, its minimum 7 turns to win even if you get the perfect cards at the perfect time and nobody fates you, otherwise its 10+. If they could do multiple ingredients in the same turn, or in any order, or vanquish with the life potion without requiring all 3 to be at the same spot, it would be better. But very thematic.

Sanderson Sisters - First Thoughts

So my mom preordered the full box since she didn’t know the individual box would be coming out later, oh well lol. I think they’re really fun to play as, but even when my brother was playing as Hans, he still won a lot quicker than I would have been able to.

You have to work through the potion recipe by completing different conditions and some of them were very difficult to achieve since the helpful cards came to me at the wrong times. I still needed one ingredient to be added to the cauldron and then would still need to defeat the hero.

AND THEN, worst of all, is that when the hero with the potion is defeated, the objective is only fulfilled if all three witches are at the hero’s location as well as your mover. I feel like there are too many hindrances for the Sanderson Sisters. But I’ll absolutely play as them again

Edit: almost forgot, Billy Butcherson doesn’t even have a card! That’s crazy to me. I feel like he could’ve been like Kronk where he can change between ally and hero

Who is the better disney villain (in general not in regards to the game)

settle an argument between me and my bf he says ursula is the best and that everyone would agree with him but i disagree. (unrelated i do have the disney villain game and i watched a yt tutorial for it with my bf but we still couldnt figure out how to play, if someone could reply and explain in laymans terms that would be amazing.)

Freezing

I feel like with Success at Any Costs, both villains efficiencies are deceptive. Ernesto can be slowed down and careful reading of his cards and fating him to get Hector out and to continue flipping his cards is essential. I think he is easier to slow down than we realize - similar to Maleficent.

Hans looks slow since you have to freeze all 16 tiles to flip his board and then you need to freeze and vanquish all 4 tiles that Anna and Elsa are on and then vanquish them. I guess has anyone figured out how many tiles can you freeze in a given turn? Knowing that a Vanquish action freezes a tile too?

Anyone who have made custom boxes to store their whole collections, any tips?

We have pretty much all the villains for Disney, and it's 10 boxes at this point I think. We want to figure out an easier storage solution and just wanted to get some ideas from people who may not be handy like me that managed to solve their own version of this problem.

Question: Why are people already dismissing Hans?

I don't get why a lot of people disregard a character this quickly just because he/she has allies that aren't necessarily allies in the movie. Gaston has flawed gameplay, but Hans seems to be directly written off, mainly because of wolfcase (even if his goal is movie accurate). I don't get why this is something bad, but the Tweedles being an ally of the QoH, the palace guards and royal rider / Gothel, Nessus /Hades, shoulderdevil kronk / Yzma, almost all allies of Pete, the monkeys and King Louis/Shere Kahn and not to mention all the effects that "officially" belong to the allies/henchmen instead of the villain you are playing. This, of course, is just my opinion, and I'm not saying anybody is wrong here; I just don't get it, and I'm curious how other people look at this.

All Ernesto and Prince Hans' cards and their to-be-confirmed clarifications

THE CLARIFICATIONS ARE NOT CONFIRMED
Sneak peak of the next version of the Errata document that will include the new Villains, the clarifications are based on previous sets, we won't know for sure how some cards are played until the set is released but let me know if you think anything is wrong.

Hans and Gaston fun fact.

Also are allies to both attractive men who are attempting to be all romantic with the main character until they fall a distance and are both not designed by Prospero Hall.
