Was Schillinger killing Andy a distorted act of compassion as although he clearly did it for control he feared his son undergoing the same prag fate he inflicted upon others. Although Schillinger craved control and was a horrific person this was all he could concieve or comprehend as he was clearly driven by ego and deep inside he knew Andy wouldn't survive Oz on his own and would forever be a target for his many enemies.
