R36 Ultra X (4.5") EmuELEC 4.7 Does anyone know the SSH/Remote Services username and password?
I have the newer R36 Ultra X with the 4.5-inch 1024×768 screen, running EmuELEC V4.7. This is the newer Ultra X model, not the original 3.5-inch R36S.
I'm trying to access the device from my Windows 11 PC over Wi-Fi so I can manage/copy files.
I have already confirmed that:
- The R36 Ultra X is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Windows can successfully ping the device with 0% packet loss.
- TCP port 22 is open.
- SSH connects successfully.
- The SSH server identifies itself as OpenSSH 9.2.
- SSH offers publickey,password,keyboard-interactive authentication.
- The device hostname is Unique.
- The EmuELEC menus do not show a Remote Services or SSH setting.
- I tried the standard EmuELEC credentials root / emuelec, but they were rejected.
- I also tried emuelec / emuelec and Unique / emuelec, with no success.
The included instruction manual doesn't mention an SSH username or password.
Does anyone with this exact R36 Ultra X / EmuELEC 4.7 firmware know the correct SSH credentials?
I'm specifically looking for the actual username and password configured by the manufacturer, or information about whether Remote Services/SFTP is automatically enabled and how we're supposed to access it.
I don't want to flash another operating system or modify the firmware. I just want to access the existing EmuELEC installation/files over the local network.
