Do y’all ever feel stifled by or too devoted to your standards to a fault, or like they are necessary so there is no such thing as them being stifling or too much?

Or something else?

Wondering what the internal POV is from 1s since external descriptions tend to describe this as sometimes too much, but I wonder if 1s would agree with that judgment

I Really Don’t Relate to My Enneagram

I feel like I understand them at their core but typing myself is difficult. I personally believe ima 1w9. I tend to have very high expectations for myself and kinda want myself to be this perfect no-flaws person at some point. Like I’ll eventually stop making mistakes or big mistakes and I hold myself to a very high standard. I see mistakes in others, I try not to be quick to label even though I am. I really do try to be open minded but when threatened I close up and I stick firmly to my believes (I’ll revisit/doubt them though and get it right eventually). Quite frankly, I don’t expect people around me to be overly good or perfect. My standards are high but it’s just that I’ve kinda accepted the fact that no one will ever meet them and that’s okay bc no one is perfect. Other than me, I gotta be mature and flawless and articulate and open-minded and handle everything perfect. But then again.. I’m very bad at articulating myself in real time, in person. So I tend to freeze in arguments or just not do them at all. I’ll even agree with people that I don’t want to agree with if it makes me have to talk/argue less. Plus, I don’t like my words being manipulated or misunderstood when I can barely voice them properly despite it being clear in my head. I am also neither close-minded nor open minded. I think I’m kinda stuck in this bubble. I can see outside the bubble but it’s still a bubble. This all sounds like a typical 1w9. And yet, when I search up 1w9 the people typed like that seem like… well I see no way we could possibly be similar, but they’re also all so similar with each other. Am I missing something? Am I untyped?
