Got hit my a box truck about a week ago. Compound tibia/fibula fracture, bruised chest and ribs. Luckily I had all my gear on and basically sustained no other injuries. Bike was deemed total loss mainly due to frame damage. Gonna be letting it go, and taking the check. Which is actually for substantially more than what I paid for it.

Bought this LRS a couple months ago and I’ve been in love with riding like never before super happy with getting this and can’t wait to do more with it.
I wanted to share something with everyone because it may save you time and energy.
I have a 2022 117 fxlrs (harley lowrider) which has the M8 engine. It has a lot of aftermarket parts and I planned on getting the digital top clamp so I removed the tachometer.
Anywayssss .. I was going to go for a ride an the battery was dead. It happens.
I hooked up my bike to my buddys sportster and it wasnt enough to start it-
I figured fuck it, and hooked up the cables to my car. It cranked twice an then…. NOTHING!!!
-no clicking
-no cranking
-no noise…
I bought a new battery but I knew inside that there was another issue because with the cables on the dead battery, i didnt get crank but the lights were on.
I installed the new battery and just as I thought, nothing happened. I have lights on and no noise what so ever…
Like most people, I checked the main fuse… Nope
I checked the other fuses just in case…. Nope…..
All the forums an information I found said, check fuses, if not you fries your stator or fucked up your rectifier orrr something in your charging system and even had people saying the ECM.
I dont know why, but I knew I didnt fuck up my computer or the stator or my electrical system however my next move was to buy a starter so I was searching the internet looking for the best price and who to order it from and I had a crazy idea…. Maybe it was the fucking security system on the bike. I had to go dig through my garage and find the tachometer. After installing it, I ran through the steps.

I followed the steps and hit ignition and she fired up immediately!!! Soo glad I didnt buy a starter.
Anyways, I hope this helps other people in my shoes, I think if I had my tachometer on the bike, I would have noticed something but either way, its fixed and I hope this helps!!!
Im trying to see what I can do without replacing cables. Ive seen videos of guys saying you dont need cable extensions with 6.5in pullbacks but on a LRST not a LRS. Not sure if the cable lengths are different. Thrashin did say you do with 6.5in risers. After that I thought to try extensions with oem 4.5in and oem bars maybe 1.5in extensions. Id like to do I nice setup that I might actually like it but the gas prices are a bitch right now! Anyone else know max lengths?

Just curious what RPM everyone cruises at? For info I have a 2024 Low Rider S stage 1 with a 2-1 exhaust. Is 3k too high? I find myself popping up and down between 4th and 5th looking for a comfortable speed. Roads at 45 speed limit I’m either on a lower gear with a bunch of torque or up in 5th in the low 2ks.
