Elgin as a sacrificial lamb
Sophia taking Elgin’s hands and him bleeding out the he way did is very “Stigmata” like. I don’t think Sophia expected the sun to come back and I am pretty sure that happened because of Elgin’s sacrifice. I need to rewatch the series looking for all the biblical references now… Sophia means “wisdom” and has a very specific biblical tie in itself. Has anyone already done all the biblical research and comparison? I’d love a head start!
ALSO, there are partial Emily Dickinson quotes on the board above Elgin’s head in this scene. Has that board always been there??? Why have I never noticed it. The quotes are from 2 distinct poems. I will attach them here as well. I fear that the people complaining about S4 just weren’t paying close enough attention
