Very, very frustrated with the router

I've got 2Gig Fiber. I have the stupid eero wifi extenders, and that seems to be where the problem is for me.

If I don't plug the eero in, and plug my network switch into the 10gbit port, literally nothing works. No connection, DHCP refuses connections.

If I have eero plugged in, the remaining 4 gigabit ports (I have a 10GbE switch) still don't work, at all.

I don't want to use two eero boxes to connect a 5 port switch to a router that is literally sitting on top of it.

It looks like the fiber router/modem is hardwired to the eero, and it will refuse wired connections from EVERYTHING else.

Is there a way to fix this? Or should I start looking for a new ISP, though there are very, very few options where I am.

I'm beginning to think these outages are to make us all go to another company so frontier doesn't have to support copperline dsl anymore.

We have city wide frontier dsl outages 2 or 3 times a month for 10 hours or more. I think they're trying to get us all to switch companies so they can stop taking care of the copper line dsl section of their company. Some of us have no alternatives though so we have to have dsl. I wish they'd stop causing these outages.
