Hey everyone,

I'm most probably getting GCET (Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology) through UPTAC for CSE (or maybe a CSE specialization), and I'm really confused.

Online sab jagah mixed reviews mil rahe hain. Kuch log bolte hain placements achi hain, kuch bolte hain sirf top students ko hi milti hain. 🥀🥲

I have a few questions:

• Is GCET actually worth joining in 2026? • How are the CSE placements nowadays? (Realistically average package kitna hai?) • College life kaisi hai? Fests, clubs, sports, coding culture, etc. • Faculty and attendance ka scene kaisa hai? • Hostels worth it hain ya PG better rahega? • Coding aur internships ke liye environment kaisa hai? • Kya companies genuinely aati hain ya placement stats thode inflated hote hain? • Agar option ho to GCET vs AKGEC vs GL Bajaj vs NIET, what would you choose and why?

I'm not expecting a ₹30 LPA package 💔😭. Bas ek aisa college chahiye jahan mehnat karne ke baad decent software job mil sake.

Please sirf brochure wali baatein mat batana 😭. If you're a current student or recent passout, I'd really appreciate your honest experience—the good, the bad, everything.

I had a low rank in JEE Mains (general, female, homestate), I'm considering ECE at GCET Noida (the best option I have for my rank) and would love to hear honest experiences from seniors.

1. How are the placements? I know top-tier core companies come less often even in IITs/NITs, but is it still manageable to get good opportunities after graduation or do I have to do masters also in order to land a good job in a core company.

2. I keep hearing that ECE is tough (+aktu), but If I stay consistent, study regularly, do you think I can manage a good CGPA without burning out? And if midway I decide I don’t want to continue with ECE and instead shift to CSE (or another booming field later), will I still have time to keep up with my ECE studies (for CGPA) while also learning CSE/IT skills?

3. If I do stick with ECE, besides GATE or government jobs, what other career paths or opportunities are there like jobs right after B.Tech in a core company?

4. Also, how is the faculty and labs for the ECE department? I've heard some people say that they don't give internal marks but I'm not sure if that's true.

5. Lastly, if you could give one piece of advice to your first-year self what would it be? It could be anything, academics, internships, coding, placements, clubs, networking, or college life in general. Anything you wish someone had told you when you started college.

When college starts, you'll see everyone asking:
"Which language should I learn?"
"Which course should I buy?"
"Which certificate is best?"

Nobody cares how many courses you've completed.

By the end of second year, thousands of students will have the same Python, Java, Web Dev, or AI certificates.

The difference is this:

Some will have 10 certificates.

If you're joining AKTU this year, don't spend four years coding alone.

Find people who build.

Work on projects.

Hi, As per the mail we had to submit fees till the 1st of July and if we failed to do so will late charges be considered?

Is it possible to submit fees in 2 parts semester wise.

I am getting niet cse cys (not has any specific intrest in cys) and other option is gcet cse hindi , i like the college personally and i guess senior also say this and I am motivated for ncc too which i will get in gcet only so choosing gcet cse hindi will be a mistake or it is ok?
