Lead time question
Got a email from Gilbert that the gun is done ready to be shipped to my ffl but I placed the order earlier this month.. is that normal with a lead time of 11-12 week?
Patriot Tool-less guide rod part 2
I put the Atlas from the RCD in the Patriot using the Patriot plug. Also took more pics of the springs, rods and plugs. Left side is RCD Atlas for all. The RCD has an Atlas 12lb spring that makes the RCD rack kind of stiff. The Patriot has an 8 lb spring. I'm probably going to try the Patriot spring in the RCD and see if it will cycle. And, interested in how the recoil impulse changes. Same with placing the 12 in the Patriot.
Toolless guide rod follow up
Talked to Gilbert and ordered the toolless. The length is the same as used for a 4.25". The back has a slot for the link. Left is RCD (Atlas) for comparison. The measurements are the length of the bushings with the longer one being the Patriot. Lastly, the old rod vs the new.
For those who carry a forza, how is it?
I’m looking at purchasing a forza, I really want to know what carrying it feels like? Is the grip slimmer than other comparable pistols like bul armory UL? or prodigy 2?
Where do yall carry and do you find it comfortable ? Magwell add any discomfort ?
GP Arms Forza 3.1
Finally got my GP ARMS Forza 3.1 inch today so far I’m loving it. I love the size. I got the all metal body version with a fiber optic front site. EDC real well a little bit heavier than my Glock 43X but I love it nonetheless we’ll be taking it to the gun range to test it soon. If you’re wondering what host I have is by QVO Tactical.

Looking for the right mounting plate on my Patirot build for a Holosun EPS
I am trying to establish which of the mounting plate options on the Patriot (RMS-C, RMR, and DPP) would allow me to mount a Holosun EPS MRS without using the plate adapter. I am wanting to avoid the adapter so I can co-witness with my irons. Im not a fan of an elevated dot.
If that isn't an option for GP to provide, what are some good alternatives? I was considering the Romeo-X Enclosed Pro, but with half the battery life and no solar panel on top, I would feel like I am missing out somehow.
Thoughts?
Let's talk grips
I recently added the Cheely CC grip to my Patriot and frankly while I love the shape the texture is something to be desired. I love the Patriot grip angle but also have gone down the alloy grip rabbit hole. I told him my grip feels a little slick. He told me it's either worn down a little or all my crud. I'm thinking 1st one. Reached out to Gilbert and asked him about the Henning Grip he now sells and about the full sized poly grip.
Gilbert is selling the Henning grip for about 430, or 450 rounds. It is custom made by Henning for GPArms. It comes with the main spring. He sent me this pic. These look pretty darn sweet.
He told me he's changed the material used for his poly to something stiffer with the same texture as before. He stated the stiffness makes the texture more grippy. These are 139 rounds. Believe it or not you can find them on his site by doing a google search for GPArms grip but can't seem to directly find them on his site. You will find www.GParms.com/shop "shop" is no where on his site. You select the grip and drop it in the cart and it will tell you GPArms will contact you.
Now need to decide
Uspsa guys - good first LO 2011?
I'm currently a CO competitor but I finally got a chance to shoot a 2011 recently and I'm hooked. After weeks of research, I'm pretty convinced that the Patriot is going to give me the best bang for my buck in terms of a turn key gun to compete with.
Those who run these in uspsa, how's it been for you? I'm coming from an Echelon 4.0fc and when I shot a Prodigy, I was blown away by how fast I could shoot it and how fast my dot returned.
Ordered a Patriot for EDC: need advice
I just ordered a Patriot for potential EDC use. I am really excited for it, but I wanted some opinion on my setup.
Right now, I have the Patriot ordered with the SS frame and the 4.1" ported barrel. I also have the regular grip instead of compact. My goal is to make the choices that influence it's flatness and recoil control the most even if I want to EDC it.
One of my concerns is related to the grip safety, which I do think I want on my gun. With a standard sized grip, will I struggle with it if I do not have large hands? I have heard mixed messages about the relative size of the grip, and my only owned pistol for reference is a sig P365XL.
I just want want to make sure the standard grip would work for me as far as my grip goes. I'm less worried about printing issues with it than I am with my ability to hold it well.
Thanks
Forza Vs Patriot
I can’t decide on which one to go with! I was originally looking at a CZ Shadow 2 carry until I discovered this brand. Which one is closer to the size of that? The forza looks too small in pictures but then the patriot looks too big. I am looking for a range toy that I can also use as my EDC.
