Hello! Try out our NAM app!

Look, we know, it’s the n-th app you’ve seen that integrates NAM A2. But hey, maybe this flavour is for you!

Quick introduction: Me and my buddy are university students (physics and IT engineering), and we made an app for iOS named Gateway Pro (original huh?) that satisfies our needs, considering the limited time we have to practice.

Features: It’s an fx suite with a few unique features such as up to 4 parallel signal paths with optional Linkwitz-Riley crossover (splits your signal into frequency bands), audio unit loader for importing your own AUv fx, MIDI functionality and other stuff, but what’s cool about it is the live mode, comprised of metronome, a handy scene view, a playlist mode and a setlist mode. The point of these is to load your backing tracks into playlists or setlists, the difference being that playlists just play the backing tracks in order without changing presets or scenes, whereas the setlist mode does. The point of this is efficient practice, having specific playlists with various workouts and/or repertoires.

Most important of all: the tone curve. Reacts to your playing, completely useless, looks rad, can be deactivated.

We’re offering a 48h free trial without having to enter any card info, and we’re looking for feedback, so the first 15 people who pm me with opinions, possible improvements and critiques gets a key to unlo the app for free (lifetime, we don’t do subscriptions). Thank you all for reading and we hope the app is something you’ll enjoy!

EDIT: as someone pointed out, our the app’s name is misleading. We will be changing it shortly, and apologise for the mistake. I also want to thank everyone for their valuable feedback, as it is helping us fill the potholes we missed during development.

EDIT 2: following the suggestions of our users, we have rolled out an update tackling several concerns users had with the app.

- name changed to AmpGate pro in order to avoid confusion

- UI optimised for vertical viewing

- added sync to the modulation

- plugins in the auv3 loader are now sorted by developer

- general ui and ux improvements, especially on smaller screens

- improved input and output meter ballistics and readability

- fixed a bug that caused menus to display incorrectly on smaller screens

- improved ui’s smoothness on some devices and fixed issues that caused some au plugins to not be displayed correctly

- fixed various graphical bugs

-other stuff I’m probably forgetting

Completely free NAM loader for iOS, out now!

Hello everyone! We are the devs of AmpGate Pro, and we’re happy to introduce you to AmpGate. As AmpGate Pro’s little cousin, it doesn’t come with any of its bells and whistles. It’s a simple instance of NAM capable of running A2 models with a ui we find intuitive (and fun to look at) and a nice integrated browser.

Comes in both standalone and auv3 format
