After a long time of dreaming of visiting Japan this winter (mainly to visit the mountains) I had a side mission of finding a Pen F / FT in Tokyo. After searching in about 8 camera stores I picked up a Pen FT at a very good price, with the 38mm 1.8, marked as grade C from Lemon in Tokyo for 15,000 yen. The aperture blades have some oil, the viewfinder is certainly very dark and not the cleanest, and the light meter was marked as not working.

After putting some batteries in it and running a test roll through it when back in Austria, the light meter actually works pretty well (despite the awkwardness of the system). Pretty happy with the results and what a memento of a life long dreamed trip.

I developed the Kentmere 400 in Rodinal and scanned with my mirrorless (xpro2 with TT artisan macro), scanning a full 35mm image, any individual half frame images here are cropped from the 35mm scan I made using the easy Valoi35.

Looking forward to using this more and I have already put a few more rolls through it! Who else has a Pen FT?
