Hardwood Empire 3.5

Hardwood Empire 3.5 is being submitted to the App Store today and should be out in the coming days.

This one adds a coaching pressure layer, a real player development system, a rebuilt transfer portal, and a reworked pro draft.

Player DevelopmentSet a Focus for every player and his growth follows it. New Offseason Training Camp lets you spend development points to push guys toward 99, and a Growth History tab tracks every player's year-by-year climb. The redshirt call now comes after camp, so you decide once you've seen the jump.

Coaching Pressure & Season StoryYour AD sets preseason expectations, and you're graded against them with a new End-of-Season Report Card. Morale & Locker Room rebuilt, talk to any player, make real promises, and keep them or lose his trust. New Story Events pull real players from your roster, with real consequences.

New Transfer PortalPortal points now scale with your open roster spots, so rebuilds get real chances. Recruiting skill matters more than prestige, top transfers are harder to land, and position crowding is respected. No more free superteams.

Smarter Pro DraftThe entire pro draft was reworked, who declares and who can be talked into staying now weighs position, OVR, potential, stats, your development track record, and more.

Game DayNew Game Preview Gameplan you can mix and match inline, redesigned halftime adjustments (now 3x2 with a sixth option), and a cleaner post-game box score. Plus bigger title celebrations, conference and national championships now get logo glow, confetti, haptics, and sound.

Custom RostersAdd a logo per conference at center court, plus one-tap Update Conference Logos for existing dynasties.

PolishPremium in-game notifications (the gray toast pills are gone), tabular figures on scores and clocks, bigger tap targets, and real press feedback everywhere.

Bug Fixes & MoreFaster recruiting with arrows to flip through prospects, committed recruits now show true OVR/POT, more social-media takes with clickable player names, injuries now correctly miss games, fixed dead taps at the top of screens, and squashed a recruiting-changeover crash.

Appreciate everyone who keeps playing and pushing this game forward.

A couple things!

I love the game, I’ve been playing daily for what feels like a few months now. I just wanted to ask about a couple things I’m experiencing. Every so often i hit a bug where after i start the next season i have no recruits and the only targets are my commits from last season. I usually just sim to the end but for example in my current VT career all my good commits from the previous season got stuck, i had a really bad year and majority of my team left as a result. Does anyone else experience this? Also, do we always have to start at age 60? a lot of of good coaches irl are much younger and i think it would be alot of fun to have a way longer career and still grow my goat score. Thanks.

NBA draft

I know some people might disagree but I’d like to see my guys go to the draft, especially if they are supposed to be a top 10 pick. I try to get my players to a high draft pick then decide to come back. Maybe make it easier to bring back guys if you really want to. But I’m trying to get as many players drafted as I can

Selection Sunday Sound Bugged

Has anyone else been having trouble keeping the selection show sound stay off?

Makes it impossible to wear airpods and do something else (i.e., watch a show or listen to music) while playing because the mute button only turns it off until it hits next.

At minimum, there should be an option to turn it off full time.

Contract/Coaching Objectives

Not sure if it’s been suggested or floated around before but I think it would be cool to have objectives attached to your contract/school like sign a recruiting class ranked so high, win certain number of games, make NCAAT, make sweet 16, etc. to make it feel more realistic and put more pressure on, feel like you never get fired.
