Carpet estimates ridiculous

I went online today and picked a carpet, put in my room dimensions then clicked to get an estimate. They added 100 square feet as "waste factor". I realize there is some waste when doing carpeting but 100 square feet??? Guess I won't be buying from HD.

HomeDepot scammed me out of 200$ lol.

At the beginning of summer, I bought 2 ConvectAir 5100 without thermostat to replace my old wall heaters. I wanted to get Smart Thermostats before the end of autumn.

My electrician was able to fit me in finally today and while installing them, realizes that one of them is actually a ConvectAir 5101 -with- thermostat, in a 5100 box.

I explained myself to the counter, they refused to exchange it, treated me like a scammer and a liar, even after having brought the receipt, the brand new 5101 and both 5100 boxes that matched the receipt.

So, if you deal with them, make sure you compare Model IDs on whatever product you bought as soon as you get home. Kind of a mixed signal, telling me they would never make such a mistake, but it's my fault for not checking in time.

I just left the box with the 5101 there and I left, they can sell it and buy themselves a good meal with it for all I care.

I just wanted to save the FREAKING PLANET, home depot

Cant schedule a truck rental on the website

Hello, wondering if anyone has any tips or insight, Ive been trying for 3 days to schedule a box truck rental and every time Im able to pick the days and times and click next, but then when its asking to log in with an account or to put an email in, it just keeps giving the error "There was a temporary technical issue. Please try again shortly." I went into the store and they told me I had to do it online because they don't do reservations in store, the chat support person told me to clear my caches and cookies on my browser and try again.... Ive tried with 3 different devices all the same thing. The chat support person asked if I wanted to put a ticket in with IT so I said sure and they said they would put it in and be right back and then never came back. Lowes and Menards are too far away where I am currently so home depot is kind of my only choice, penske and such are far more expensive to rent from what I saw

Order delivery and customer control

A rant.

I'm doing a project for my 91-year-old mother who lives 700 miles away. I'm a HD stock holder so I like to do business with them. Some items I need are available immediately and locally, so I picked those up. Other items, like a door, need to be ordered. The website says delivery could be as early as the middle of next week. (I ordered on a Wednesday.) I decide to have those items delivered to my mother's house, since I plan to be there late Sunday. My mother uses a walker and is not capable of receiving these items. Hours after I order, the shipment and tracking emails and texts start appearing. Everything is going to show up before I get there. The items going via UPS can be delayed if I pay, which I do. The large door is going via FedEx, and neither HD or I can change the delivery. Kind of frustrating. My door's going to sit outside in the weather for 2 days.

I understand that in this world, delivery faster and earlier are pleasent surprises most of the time.

HD, if you're listening, this customer would like to be able specify a "no earlier than" date on delivery orders, or something like that.

Also, HD, if you're listening, I spent way too much time on your website trying to find a way to give you this customer feedback, and it seems impossible. What kind of retail company makes hearing from the customer so difficult?
