Found in front of an old-timey Victorian-looking mansion in one of the older neighborhoods of Hutch.

What was the purpose of this? Lemme guess: This is how cowboys parked their horses by putting a rope attached to a horse, through that loop on that now-rusted rod?

Or was this for a rope attached to an antique car to say, keep a Ford Model T from rolling away in case their parking brake stopped working?
