Hey guys! I'm an IB alumni math tutor who got a 7 in AI HL in M25.

I am currently pursuing a math degree at the top university in my country and I was also the teachers assistant for the math teacher at my school. I have had a lot of experience teaching students who are especially weak in math and bringing them up to a high 6/7 in just a matter of a few months. even my math teacher during DP said my entire class's average grade increased by 2 because I was teaching them after school.

I'm just really interested in math teaching and pedagogy and bringing out mathematical thinking in students.

I am offering a bootcamp for the summer for two months for AI SL and HL. We'll go over past paper questions and how to answer them for the exam and how to use the GDC etc. I'll also teach the math needed for each question as we go, virtually completing the entire AI SL course and probably half of it for AI HL. The AI HL course is way too long for 2 months but the AI SL course can work.

This will give you a head start in DP for math and you'll be on track to get a 7 on your DP1 final mock which will be used as your predicted grade to college apps.

I feel like lots of people don't actually make up their mind until after results day/ after summer. What's everyone's thoughts? And I'm so curious - where is everyone based? UK/ Europe/ USA/ more? I'm curious how the programme varies based on where you are!

idk, i feel like everyones prepping a lot for dp but i dont rlly know what to do. like some ppl are doing cas during summer break, is that normal? should i be doing that too? i have no clue. and how do i prep for my dp subjects? sum ppl r saying dp is very different from myp and even if you do really well in a certain subject in myp that isn't a direct indicator of how you'll perform in that subject in dp... like what..??
