Upper Receiver Purchase

Hello everyone,

I am looking to purchase a complete upper receiver and go pick it up in Wisconsin.

Just want to know if anyone has recently bought a complete upper receiver and been able to get it shipped or picked up from a dealer?

Thanks

CZ P-10 F

Hey ya’ll, I’m interested in the P-10 F, but I would like to shoot it before considering buying. Does anyone know of a range that has one for rent? Southwest suburbs preferred, but I’d be willing to drive a little further.

Where to take foreign nationals and family visiting from abroad shooting?

Been trying to take family from mexico and some friends from abroad shooting, and I remember years ago before specifically 2021 before PICA family and friends who were visiting from abroad were allowed into range USA just by showing their passport, but it looks like now both rangeUSA and and Maxons don’t allow foreigners into the range because of “ATF law”.
I was thinking about bringing some of my family to Jasper-pulaski wildlife range in Indiana but ive never been there and wonder if they allow foreigners with a passport as a form of iD. Anyone have any experience with taking foreign nationals shooting in Chicagoland area?

Range at 355 Rules

At some point I saw posts a while back saying ARs and Non-PICA compliant weapons weren’t allowed at Range at 355, is that still the case? Few of us wanted to go celebrate Americas bday (love you bb) but didn’t know what we could and couldn’t bring with us. (PFA)

Before I chop a Glock: Odds of magazine size limit staying even if PICA falls?

If the SCOTUS strikes down the AR ban...I still have a Glock 17 that I have to use reduced size magazines on, and to make it easier to carry I'm debating chopping it into a Glock 19 length to use those magazines. I was all prepped to do this...When the news headline broke.

If that decision does change laws regarding AR-15s and similar weapons...Would magazine limits likely stay in place? I am sitting here with a Dremel tool in hand, do I chop or wait it out?

Can I sell pre-ban mags to out of state buyers?

I know we're all looking forward to (at least parts of) pica getting struck down next year, but I'm currently thinking about selling one of my guns to buy a new Glock. I don't really know many people in the 2A space, so I'll probably just sell it to my LGS. I do have a bunch of money into mags, basepads, and holsters for it that I don't want to basically give them for free though.

Can I legally sell those on like gafs and just ship them out of state?

21st Century Gun Purchase

I know most of you guys might be unaware, but there is a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) that will change the game for purchasing firearms. I am pretty sure this is going to sail through. There's a little more to this, but here are the basics...Ernie-Ernie's Arms Accessories, Oak Lawn.

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a good home defense weapon. I have several handguns and am a CCL holder but am looking for something that is good for home defense. I’ve researched high and low and since there is just an unbelievable amount of options out there I’d absolutely love to hear what everyone’s go to is for them. What have they stuck to for years. Open to hearing about it!

Thanks so much!!

Voluntary mental health hospitilization, got four more years, is it a straightforward process or is it difficult?

So, I've decided to just wait the five years beause everyone told me its easier to just wait the five years vs trying to go for under five years. I was a unique case in the reason I was hospitlizized is because I knew I was in a bad place mentally because I was being abused by my ex girlfriend.

Therapy at the VA has been wonderful, and I've found alternative interests in the meantime to keep my interest until I can get my FOID back.

The only thing is it seems like I should just move into Wisconsin at this rate, because I was reading about how it costs like $2000 just for a lawyer fee.

I can schedule an Eval through the VA for free, so thats nice as long as they're a licensed Illinois therapist.

But it seems like a high price to pay to get my FOID back and it almost looks so unappealing that I don't want it back.

Or is that the point?

I was WRONG

Hand up, I am one with my shame. Thought everyone was being pretentious about glass but you really do get what you pay for. Returning a red dot I thought I was getting a deal on for an established brand. Anyone else newer to guns, please learn from my mistake and don’t waste your time.

I love the design of this but it just won’t hold zero even within a session. Withholding the name of the company but I’m rooting for them to get better.

Is this it?

We all of heard the supreme court agreed to a hearing of the AWB here in illinois. So….. is this truly it? May we, as beautiful Illinoisans, finally get to own ar15s again? Mmmm yes……YES. May we actually get our rights back?
