European IKON mountain with earliest season?

Hey all, I’ll be going to Italy for Christmas but was thinking of heading there a little early and getting skiing in. I don’t know much about the ski season over there or which areas open earliest but it would be mid-December. Can anyone recommend some mountains that would have the most snow at that time?

Ikon pass

Yes, prices did go up. Yes, Ikon got rid of the Deferral and replaced it with an option to refund all 100% of your money including your deferral credits IF you used them to purchase a pass, and it’s unused, 50% if used once and any more than that Ops you out to have it refundable. Was it a bad season for snow yes, not defending Alterra lol but they can’t control Mother Nature which is why it’s a multi-destination pass to go where there is snow. so it’s a risk you do take. So it’s either buy the pass so you have it or you just buy a local pass. Or you don’t buy a pass at all and just use your friends F&F vouchers for a discounted lift ticket. It just doesn’t seem that insane for a CORPORATE company to do what a Corporate company does. If I’m being honest.

Pass Deferral Gone for 26/27

Buyer beware - Ikon got rid of the pass deferral option. This means that if you buy the pass now and you get injured prior to the ski season, for example, you cannot defer/bank credit for 27/28 and you’ve completely lost your money. They replaced deferral with the Refundable option that costs you $300 more. Thank you Ikon for continuing to ratchet down on your captive audience.

Zermatt Cervinia

Hi, if I'm in Zermatt and ski to Cervinia, will I have much time for skiing there or will it be pretty much just grab a lunch and head back before the lifts close?

Also how much time would you spend in Zermatt? A lot of times I can't ski two days in a row.

Thanks

Wasn’t able to ski this year due to health reasons - is a refund or credit possible?

Long story short, I wasn’t able to ski this year due to health reasons. I had purchased a 4 day pass back in October 2025 and it went to waste as a result. Didn’t purchase insurance. Is there any way to get a refund or even credit towards a pass for next season or am I shit out of luck?
