Vote accordingly.

For over a decade, Republican US Senate candidate Michael Whatley was the executive vice president of a lobbying group that advocated on behalf of oil and utility companies, including Duke Energy.

Duke Energy is one of North Carolina’s largest utility providers, and is currently seeking to raise rates by nearly 10% beginning in January.

Since launching his US Senate campaign last summer, Whatley has accepted $10,000 from them in campaign contributions.

A financial disclosure form submitted on Aug. 13 also revealed that Whatley’s household owns $149,000-$410,000 in individual Duke Energy stocks.

Democracy in the Balance - Compare the 2 candidates for NC Supreme Court

Compare the 2 candidates & their experience. 1 has ZERO JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE & wants a seat on our NC Supreme Court? As the graphic says, "Make it make sense!"

Sarah Stevens is the ALSO architect of that horrible HB 958 that Governor Stein just vetoed. Sarah Stevens also sought the support of convicted child sex offender turned powerhouse GOP fundraiser, Harvey West of the West Files, NC's very own version (lucky us) the Epstein Files. Read more here: https://thewestfiles.com/

We need a candidate w/integrity & a proven record of working for the people of NC. That's what we have in Justice Anita Earls. The choice is clear!

GREENSBORO CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS AUGUST 17 AND AUGUST 18TH.

August 18, 2026: Final vote to move forward with a 6 month moratorium. This process went from 5-4 vote against moving forward with a moratorium to a vote to move forward with the process for a moratorium, to a 4 month moratorium, to Denise Roth, Mayor Pro Tem recusing herself from the vote to this final vote, 8-0, in favor of a 6 month moratorium.

Will be back in touch with next steps. Very, VERY disappointing but we move FORWARD TOGETHER. NOT. ONE. STEP. BACK!

August 17, 2026:

Caring people who give a damn about their city, their environment, and their neighbors. That was on full display at the special City Council meeting last night, August 17th in Greensboro.

The people of Greensboro SHOWED UP and brought the RECEIPTS! In fact, there were so many who signed up to speak, the meeting had to be adjourned! The speakers who did not get to speak yesterday evening will be heard TODAY at the regular meeting at 5:30pm! PLEASE ATTEND IF YOU CAN! We are pushing for a 32 month moratorium so that GSO has time to research, listen to other cities and counties inside and outside of NC who have passed a moratorium!

The people of Greensboro were INSPIRING! So much talent, intelligence, passion, and compassion for their neighbors and our city. People brought up so many salient points such as the time of 4 months for a moratorium being *woefully inadequate* to conduct environmental impact studies, research energy costs, impacts on water supply, noise, light, and air pollution, jobs and the lack thereof, upgrades to equipment, and most importantly - to have public input every step of the way. The need for a citizen led steering committee was also raised. The vote to move forward with the moratorium is supposed to be this evening and we need everyone there to advocate for the 32 month moratorium!!

Thank you to all who showed up including Guilford For All members, Make NC Work, Siembra NC, Fuerza Triad NC, Haw River Assembly and so many more! Proud to stand next to you all in this battle for our city.

CONSIDER DONATING TO GREENSBORO'S 2 FREEDOM FRIDGES!

We at Indivisible Guilford County regularly fill our two freedom fridges in Greensboro. Addresses in the pictures of the two fridges. If you can donate, please do! Our volunteer will shop with the money and fill the fridges and pantry.

If you want to just donate food yourself, please feel free! We would love to have people help. I have tons of cherry and grape tomatoes, way more than we can eat, and have many of those and zucchini!
