Innovator endorsement — financial behaviour research for Skilled Workers in the UK
Hi everyone, I’m doing some research in the UK fintech space around a pretty common flow:
People receive bank details over WhatsApp, then have to leave the app, open their banking app, and manually enter everything to complete a transfer.
I’m trying to understand:
- how often this actually happens in real life
- how painful or error-prone it is
- and whether people would trust a smoother way of handling this (while still keeping full bank-level security, with all payments ultimately authorised in the user’s bank)
If anyone has experience with this (freelancers, small business owners, or anyone regularly paying people via bank transfer), I’d really appreciate your perspective.
I’ve also put together a short 2–3 minute questionnaire to better understand how often people experience this and how they currently handle it.: https://tally.so/r/xXg11d
if your entire social and financial life already lives on WhatsApp like mine does, your input would be especially valuable 😄
I’m also actively looking for co-founders, especially people with experience in open banking, UK payments regulation, or fintech infrastructure, who are interested in building in this space, even if you don't have experience but have grit. Shoot me a DM.
