🚨 [iQOO Mega Tracker] Motherboard Dead, Green Line & Bootloops across Neo Series (Neo 9/10/10R) & iQOO 13: Share Timelines & Get Escalation Support

We are tracking a growing number of sudden hardware and motherboard failures across both older and latest iQOO lineups:

📱 Affected Models in Focus:

- Older Flagships/Midrangers: (out-of-warranty update deaths, camera sensor failures)

- Latest Generation: iQOO Neo 9 / Neo 9 Pro, Neo 10 / Neo 10R, and flagship iQOO 13 (sudden shutdowns, bootloops post-FuntouchOS updates, display lines)

Despite these devices being marketed for high-end performance, users are frequently quoted ₹15,000 to ₹30,000+ for full motherboard replacements at Vivo/iQOO service centers.

If you own any iQOO device and suffered hardware failure or display line defects post-update, please share your details below:

  1. Device Model & Storage Variant: (e.g., iQOO Neo 9 Pro 12/256GB, iQOO 13, )

  2. Issue Trigger: (OTA update version, overnight charging, normal use?)

  3. Symptoms: (Device dead / Qualcomm EDL mode 9008, continuous restart loop, camera black screen, green/pink line?)

  4. Service Center Feedback: (Did you get a Job Sheet? What reason and repair quote did they give?)

  5. Status: (Paid, under dispute, or filed with NCH 1915?)

💡 Why document your case on r/motherboard11?

When consumers present collective evidence of software-triggered motherboard and screen failures, it puts pressure on the brand to offer free repairs/concessions, and strengthens your claim when filing with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or Consumer Forum.

Hey Reddit family,

Creating this post specifically for iQOO and Vivo owners suffering from recent update bugs or service delays.

ARE YOU FACING ANY OF THESE?

• Motherboard dead / phone bricked right after updating to the July patch.

• Camera failure, app crash, or screen bugs post-update.

• iQOO Neo 9 Pro battery replacement out of stock at official centers.

• Service center asking for heavy money instead of free resolution or stalling your request.

CRITICAL NOTICE:

Here is how I can escalate your issue:

1️⃣ Visit an Official Service Center.

3️⃣ If the service center rejects your claim or demands money...

4️⃣ COMMENT ON THIS POST OR DM ME IMMEDIATELY.

5️⃣ Attach your Job Sheet image in the message.

Don't spend unnecessary money for update bugs. Send me your Job Sheet via DM or comment below, and let's get it sorted!

iQOO offering Neo 10 upgrade to Neo 9 Pro users due to battery stock shortage—Smart move or hidden risk?

Hey everyone,

There’s a widespread situation happening across iQOO service centers regarding the iQOO Neo 9 Pro.

Due to a massive drop in battery health across many devices, owners visiting service centers are being informed that official Neo 9 Pro replacement batteries are completely out of stock.

As a workaround, service centers are giving an exchange offer: pay the standard battery replacement fee and receive a brand-new iQOO Neo 10.

While an upgrade to a newer model for just a battery fee looks like a great offer on paper, a solid chunk of users are actually turning it down.

Why users are reluctant:

Neo 10 Motherboard Concerns: The Neo 10 series has been seeing frequent community reports regarding motherboard freezing and sudden dead issues.

Trading Issues: Owners feel replacing a degraded battery with a device at risk of motherboard failure isn't worth the hassle.

Discussion Points:

If someone rejects the Neo 10, what alternative Vivo or iQOO models should they negotiate for with customer support?

What amount, if any, is fair to pay for an upgrade when the brand fails to provide spare parts for an existing model?

For Neo 9 Pro owners here—what is your current battery health percentage, and how is your phone performing?

Saw this on X: iQOO Neo 9 Pro showing 63% battery health and severe UI lag after 2 years. Is this normal

Hey everyone,

I recently came across a post on X (Twitter) where someone shared the condition of an iQOO Neo 9 Pro after 2 years of usage.

According to the original post:

Battery Health: Dropped all the way down to 63%.

Performance: The UI is noticeably laggy, stuttering, and losing its initial smoothness during basic tasks.

This got me curious about a few things and I wanted to hear your take:

Is 63% battery health expected after 2 years? From what I know, standard battery degradation usually hits ~75-80% after 2 years (~500 cycles). 63% seems pretty extreme unless the phone was heavily abused or fast-charged while hot.

Your Long-Term Experience: For those who have been using older iQOO or Vivo devices for 2+ years, how has your device aged? Have you noticed similar battery drain or thermal throttling over time?

Brand Reliability: Would you trust iQOO for 3-4 years of long-term use, or do these performance-centric phones start falling apart after initial phases?

Would love to hear your thoughts and personal experiences in the comments. https://x.com/i/status/2086067701311480215 twitter (x) post

Another iQOO Neo 10R camera failure after update — Why is iQOO not pausing buggy updates and charging users for Motherboard issues?

Yet another customer is facing a complete camera breakdown on their iQOO Neo 10R (MoonKnight Titanium / 256GB + 8GB) following an update.

Here are the details from the official iQOO Service Center receipt dated August 7, 2026:

Device: iQOO Neo 10R

Fault Reported: Both rear and front cameras stopped working entirely.

Service Center Analysis: The service center confirmed that both cameras are non-functional and identified the issue to be on the motherboard (MB).

Resolution: The user was asked to pay for a full motherboard replacement. Since the repair cost was unreasonable for an issue triggered after an update, the customer had to cancel the repair ("Cancel repair - Due to cost reason").

It is completely unacceptable for a software update to break critical hardware components like the motherboard and then expect users to pay out of pocket for the repair.

Why hasn't iQOO paused this update yet? When will brands take accountability for pushing updates that brick hardware components and leave users .ihave attached his twitter post.. stranded?....https://x.com/i/status/2085952169354887589

Another day, another dead phone. iQOO Neo 10 bricked after July update + zero support

Posting to highlight what’s becoming a daily nightmare with updates.

Right after the July update, an iQOO Neo 10 turned into a complete paperweight. Everyday we see posts about dead motherboards, massive battery drain, and severe bugs post-update.

The owner is a student living 430 km away from any authorized service center. How is he supposed to manage traveling that far? How is a student supposed to pay out of pocket for a hardware failure directly caused by a faulty OTA update?

Why is the brand pushing unstable updates and taking zero responsibility for what happens to the user's device afterwards? Absolutely ridiculous situation.

I’ve attached his Twitter link below. Please check it out and support him to bring maximum reach to his issue!

Twitter/X Link. https://x.com/i/status/2085705395100664266. Quick Honest Update Regarding the iQOO Neo 10 Motherboard Issue Just wanted to post a transparent update regarding this case: Genuine Issue: The iQOO Neo 10 died/bricked strictly after the July OTA software update. There was zero physical or water damage. Local Shop Inspection: Since the nearest official service center is 430+ KM away, the device was taken to a local repair shop first to check for immediate help, where the technician opened it and confirmed it was a motherboard issue. Root Cause: While it was inspected at a local shop due to the distance barrier, the primary cause of the failure remains the buggy official software update. Posting this to keep everything 100% transparent while hoping iQOO takes accountability and provides goodwill support....even if they refuse to help ..it's ok ...but still others will know about issue ..and not make the same mistake as him

iQOO neo 10 - Battery drain is crazy 🥀

I updated to July patch ofc and I didn't search about it thinking it's just a small update but damn.. Used to get atleast 10hrs battery life with gaming and stuff but after this update it's totally cooked.. like I charged it to 88-90% today morning at 9-10AM and now by the time I am posting it.. I am on 13% with this screen time

Should I update??

Should I update it? People are talking about a motherboard dead issue, and the service center is charging ₹18–20k for repairs. My phone is still under warranty. If this issue happens after the update, will they fix it under warranty, or will they charge me?

By the way, I'm not going to update it—I'm just curious about your thoughts.
