My first Iris cross

Need name suggestions please

This is my first ever cross. Just kinda randomly happened. Last year I found a fully matured seed pod. Saved the seeds planted them this year and this is what popped out. Pretty sure its a self cross that lost some purple and expressed more yellow, copper and iridescent metallic gold. The first picture the more yellow ones are the F1 hybrid and the more purple one is the female and possibly male parent. Let me know what y'all think and maybe give me some ideas for a name if you would be so kind.

My mystery bearded iris

Bought a rhizome from Jung's Garden Center three years ago. This is her first time blooming. Thought it might be City Lights but now I don't think thats the case. She hasn't fully opened so I'll add more photos later.

Some details:

- A tall German bearded iris variety. It's stalk It's almost as tall as my Before the Storms. Its same height stalk as my October Splendor Bearded Iris. So somewhere between 24 and 36 inches in height.

- Currently throwing three buds with one open (not really relevant but I will throw it out there just in case)

- Center has this yellow to dark yellow almost orange detail that leads to the pollination core.

-Typical German Bearded Iris foliage

I don't know if anyone will be able to help, otherwise I just wanted to share her. I've been patiently waiting for her to pop some flowers! 🥰

My crippling addiction continues….

Every year I say I’m done, then every year I dig up more of my yard to make room.

Recommendation for a solid color/self hot pink bearded iris??

Hello!

I'd like to find a variety of bearded iris that is solid hot pink/magenta, but not purple. I only find light pink varieties, like Peggy Sue. Does anyone know of a recommendation for my dream iris? :)

Thank you!

This morning’s blooms

First one I believe is Immortality. I apparently bought it a year ago, planted it, and forgot completely about it. Second one I believe is a historic that I stole from just beyond my property line (I think a former owner put it there before the park fence went up), third I think is my Cinder Britches, then Pallida.

Late bloomer 2026 (cultivar names below) hopefully no repeats

I may have one more super late bloomer (fingers crossed), but I only have a few final flowers left for spring 2026. Most of my plants come from iris club sales and trades. Mid-America and Suttons are our primary vendors. I usually pick up one or two clearance plants every year from a local nursery who largely sources from Schreiner’s. I had about a 75-80% bloom rate this year. That’s the highest I’ve had since starting my collection in 2021.

Cultivars shown: 1) Gala Event, 2) Pickathon, 3) Dusky Challenger, 4) Deceptive Heart, 5) High Chaparral, 6) Power Ballad, 7) Mixes Well (variegated foliage not shown), 8) Alcazar, 9) Unimaginable.

Identification

Nursery had it labelled “Edith Wolford” but that does not seem to line up visually.

Hoping an expert can help!

Faded?

Maybe weird weather faded my Again and Again. Thought it was brighter last year.

ID request - blue and violet beardless variety

I've been admiring these irises for a couple of years now. They're growing outside of a house in my partner's neighborhood, but I don't know the occupants and they never seem to be outside, so. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, does this variety look familiar to anyone? The flowers are already fading a bit, but the blue in the centers is more pronounced when they're at the peak of their bloom. That combo of blue and violet, as well as the very attractive growth habit, really speaks to me, and I'd love to find one that I can grow myself. The stand is probably about 18" high, if that helps.

Thanks in advance! I don't know a whole lot about irises but I always enjoy em, especially beardless varieties.
